Game 9: Dolphins @ Lions Thread

Pass pro does matter. Can't make more good plays if you are on your back. That's obvious. Less opportunities to shine.

Admit Stafford was fucking good last year then if you are going to use PFF. That's all I'm saying. I don't care his grade if we win and it's obvious he is making big plays.

He wasn't good. Was good in beginning and one of the worst second half, when we needed him to be clutch.
I don't know where he ranked for PFF last year for their total QB ranking. You used the site like a bible, I don't need their opinion to form my opinion. I judge QBs with my own eyes, backed up by stats.

I do too. My opinion was backed up by PFF. He was a good QB last year and this year and 2012 and 2011.

Except PFF doesn't back you this year. Don't know about 2012, don't know about 2013. Where did he rank in their total qb rating?

6th in passing last year in PFF. He was low ranked in 2011. Still can be a good QB with a bad grade. 2011 and 2014 prove that. Definitely a good QB with a good grade. Still a good QB with a bad grade.

What is total QB rating not just passing. Total rank as a QB?

but I thought "we bought in" and have changed our ways. Then why are we still talking about dumb penalty after dumb penalty killing drives? Still talking about questionable play calling from our ocord. Questionable clock management by our HC. The only difference I see this year is the ball bouncing our way more than it has in the past. NO and ATL games weve talked about at nauseum. Where are we against Miami if on 4th n 6 calvin doesn't tip the ball to himself 3 times and catch it? Shit is working out in the end...but the path were taking to get there is not good football. Its good defense...and that's about it.

So what? Ride the defense. It's been done in the past. Remember when the Buccaneers and Ravens won their Super Bowls years ago? Those offenses were beyond abysmal. Not saying this team is a Super Bowl contender, but their defense is playing like one. That D is the real deal right now...

Amen Tony, the only difference is this offense is bad because the scheme is just off right now. We have far superior talent than those ravens and bucs had on offense. I will keep on saying it though, we need to work out of the no huddle more and put pressure on the defense to try and match our substitutions. Especially when we get Ebron and Fauria back they really can present mismatches from a physical standpoint regardless what they have been able to do. If you can catch the defense with a lb singled on Ebron that will lead to openings.

I agree about the no-huddle. It seems to work. Running game is bad though, OLine struggling, Stafford struggling a bit, injuries. Starting to get healthy is key and Stafford looks more comfortable lately. Maybe the O is starting to turn the corner? If so, look out...

gained CJ....lost reggie warford and waddle. Rotating RT inset name here next to Samsonite next to raoila next to a struggling sims....run game isn't going to get any better anytime soon. We might have the worst oline in the nfc north right now.

with your logic he could also be a bad QB with a good grade?

So what's the point of the grade?

And we're still winning.

the point is, the people on this board only acknowledge the bad grades all of a sudden.

2013 good grade, but everyone says he played like crap. They use the "eye ball" test

This year bad grade and they go by the grade and don't use the "eye ball" test. He is playing well this year, he did in 2013 too and 2011 when he had "bad" grades.

And stop comparing him to other QBs. Every QB has a different situation. Just be happy he is a winner and playing well FOR US.

Soooo the guy that goes by the grades all the time and compares our teams to other teams ALL the time is now telling us to.....

1) not look at the grades
2) not compare him to other qbs

youre an idiot....

we get it tony....nobody is arguing that were not winning. Try to stay on task and come up with something new to blab out on every thread...hopefully something that actually pertains to what other people are talking about. In this instance I was talking about the oline running into injury problems. Do you care to speak on that?

If you are not going to use his good grades (2013) then don't bother. It's proving you are hypocrite haters.

His stats are low, but he is doing very good things for this organization. I could care less if his completion % is 23rd in the leauge (when clearly there are incompletes not his fault factored in). And then you disregard yards too. Him converting first downs is why he has so many yards. Him having so many attempts is because we rely on him because he is a good QB.

Going by the "eye ball" test this year he is very average.

I don't care what his PFF grade is, he has been average. Again we can win with average, so that is ok that is all he is.

Is your new logic only Win-Loss record matters? If that is the case Mark Sanchez>Matt Stafford. We drafted the wrong guy....oops I compared him.
