Josh Mccown released by Bucs

Didn't say that, just that he's better than what's on our roster as far as backups go.

Anybody actually see them drafting one in the first 4 rounds?

I just want a back up that might go .500 if he starts 4 games. I have more confidence in Josh than Dan O.

Exactly. I think the only way Stafford gets pushed for his starting job or loses his starting job is if we draft a qb later in the draft, Stafford gets hurt, and the youngster goes off like Brady did when Bledsoe went down. Which would be awesome

Brady had 18 TDs and 12 ints in 413 attempts the year he took over. If the rookie did that, Stafford would be back in 2016 as our QB. Brady had 1 TD and 1 rush TD and 1 int in the 3 playoff games and won a Super Bowl. Though one game was in a blizzard.

Can the Lions get a Patriot schedule and have a Patriot 2000 defense in 2015? We have the defense, I don't see us getting the schedule or the tuck rule break with the way refs deal with us.

The tuck rule break? You are honestly going back to 2002 for this excuse?

18 tds 12 ints is pretty close to what Stafford did last year in his 6th season. Plus 250 more attempts.

Well, when Stafford wins a Super Bowl, or even a singular playoff game, maybe we can compare the two.

Way more attempts for Stafford and same ints. Stafford had better YPA too. Good enough to win a Super Bowl apparently. 1 Td and 1 int is all it takes to win a Super bowl. Stafford had 6 more TDs (4 passing and 2 rushing). Plus Patriots had better run game and more turnovers forced from their defense.

Stafford's 2014 season is more like Brady's 2013 season. Though again Brady had better run support in 2013 than Stafford did.

Dan O is a better and cheaper option than Josh McCown. Dan O knows the playbook. Bring him back.

Lol, 4 more passing tds in 250 attempts, and a rookie vs a 6 year veteran. Keep pretending that the Lions wouldn't start looking ahead if a young, cheap contract guy came in and did that.

Brady was in year 2, not a rookie. Stafford was in a new system. 4 more passing and 2 more rushing by Stafford. 38 FG attempts by the Lions this year too. 33 total TDs (24 directly Staffor,d 9 Stafford helped. Stafford's year was clearly better. Much like Brady 2013.

we lost at home the 1 time we played the bills. Pats beat the bills every single time they play them. How exactly is their schedule easy?
