Lions Fire Special Teams Coach Joe Marciano

So 11 season ago, before Stafford was in the league. Gotcha.

Different game than 10 years ago.

Did I change my argument?

Nope.

Not my problem you have trouble reading.

It?s a different game. The QB position is easier to play from a statistical standpoint. Why are you so desperate to say otherwise? Just to take another shot at Stafford?

Jesus man.....you sound pathetic.

why would you compare it to the year before Stafford started in the league? That makes no sense.

I used 10 years in my original post. I never made a Stafford comparison.....only that it’s easier to play QB now than it was 10 years ago.

Why is that hard to understand?

Also, if you want to use that argument....why would he use the year before Mayfield started in the league?

That makes no sense, right?

I think you guys mixed up 10 years and 10 seasons..

Yep I assumed we were talking football years, especially since it was in response to Staffords rookie year and we are on a football message board.

But I guess some would say this is Stafford 9th year in the league.

I think we all know it's his 10th season but 10 years ago is 2008. Just different verbiage.

He said....

Mayfield Year 1:
159/265, 60%, 10 YDs, 7 INTs

Stafford Year 1:
201/377, 53%, 13 TDs, 20 INTs

You quote his statement and have this response

Way different game 10 years ago.

Stafford is in his 10th season. It certainly appears that you are talking about Stafford having it harder during his rookie year than Mayfield is having now.

Except I never used ANY of the those words. You all assumed it. It’s easier to play QB now, from a statistical standpoint, than it was 10 years ago. It’s a different game.

Do you disagree with that?

Yes, stats are easier to come by now than 10 years ago.

I know you didn't use those words, but it was implied when you quoted the stats and make the comment that it is easier now than 10 years ago. If that's not the point you wanted to make, then why did you quote the stats?

I made the EXACT point I wanted to make. Had I wanted to compare rookie years I would have said and then done that. I used 10 years simply because it?s a nice round number. So then.....unbelievably...... I quoted stats from 10 years ago. I never compared Stafford and Mayfield?s rookie years....Brewer did. I simply compared Mayfields stats to QB?s from 10 years ago.....which again.....was my original statement.

Again I ask, why is that hard to understand?

I would never use stafford's stats and try to point at something good unless yards one day become relevant. He has a strong arm and is durable... that's his good. is not very accurate, really bad in the pocket or extending plays, doesn't have the ability to elevate a team unless the rest of the parts are all good as well. Best defense...lost. good run game... lost. Plenty of weapons... lost. So stafford needs a perfect team to win... who wouldn't be able to do that?

Nobody said perfect...

Ironically he never led the league in passing yards and in '18 yards per game he's 19th. Take away a few who missed a game or 3.

Patricia doesn't hire or fire players. And as a rookie he probably has less say that Matt Stafford. As for the coaches that's him, he didn't have to say yes to these guys. He kept JBC because of Matt that's on him. He also hired or kept the others.

Dude, you don't even know wtf you're talking about lol. You're a ****ing headache, man....wow

Did you miss this part? The first part was about players. Pretty obvious.

Look at what this board has become....

We got guys claiming the Browns future looks bright. How so?? 3 wins in 3 yrs so far. Coaches getting canned. You think guys like Garrett, Chubb, Landry, Ward or Mayfield are going to want to stick around that pathetic franchise if losing continues?? They're a dumpster fire lol

Then Baker Mayfield is going to win a playoff game before Stafford?? How so?? They can't even win games during the regular season. Talking about playoffs with the Browns is laughable btw...lol.

Then the icing on the cake. Mayfield vs Stafford. Jesus H Christ is that stupid. Is this what it's resorting to now??? How did this happen?? The idiocy on this board is overwhelming....

Does it look edited? Of course not. But at least you admitted it.
