Lions listening to offers for Tate and traded to the Eagles

Gonna miss the guy honestly. At least I still have his 91 OVR MUT Monster on my Madden 19 team.

While it’ll be nice to see more targets for Golladay, I am a little worried about depth at WR now. It’s basically TJ or Powell after the big 2, there’s literally nobody else, and considering our TEs are nonexistent that leaves few options in the passing game.

Great trade!!!
Loved Tate but the Lions were not paying a slot WR that is 30 yrs old that type of money. Not a chance...
For a 3rd??? All day long....

well the short dump off massive yards after the catch game will blow chunks now, this will make it much harder for stat padford to pad the yards

It's sucks, but yeah gotta agree with you. Still think we should trade for another defensive player. Safety from NY would be awesome, but I doubt we make any more moves.

stat padford had a wide open Tate in the middle of the field on 3rd down and took a sack instead. If youre not going to use him may as well trade him. way to go Stat Padford...got GMS fired, coaches, offensive coordinators....now your #1 receiving weapon sent packing. MVP.

Yep, Stafford's play got Tate traded. Nice theory

How much cap space we got now? Im starting to think this move is to clear up space for another trade, the defensive variety. Patrick Peterson or Landon Collins please

Troll alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you guys said we should have won vs the jets, san fran and seahawks. Tjose are also the 3 games Stafford sucked ass. Thatd put us at 6-1 and i guarantee we wouldnt be trading Tate. So ya...my theory holds true.

The Eagles are successfully exploiting the compensatory pick system in trading a 2019 third-rounder for Golden Tate. Philadelphia probably won't re-sign Tate after the year, but given their cap situation, they're also likely going to sit out free agency. Doing so will net them a comp pick for Tate in the 2020 draft, one which will most likely come in the fourth round. The Lions have $36 million in cap space and major holes on defense, so they're far more likely to spend in free agency this offseason, which would have blocked them from getting a comp pick for Tate.

Your theory is shit. Just like your football IQ. Defenses were horrible too in those losses

I think Quin and Patricia are more worried about this defense that can't stop the run or pass than they are about the offense

So the eagles gave up a 3rd but will get back a 4th and get to use tate for half a season. Not bad on their side.

3rd is more than i expected for him....i thought we get a 4th maybe for a half year rental...nice move for us too.

Yep. The Jets game was all Stafford though. Take out Abdullahs hand off to the defense inside our own 30 the Seattle game is much different imo.
