Why do you continue to re-post shit you posted 9 months ago the last time you bragged about your Barbie Car?!

We get it.

and you're not a dashing young entrepreneur from a rich background either.

Too funny, him talking about the 2.0S, which he doesn't own. That is the very car that dh2dr talks about when he talks about the street-racing type that buys this car and tricks them out like on fast and furious...which is not what mb09 does...

Dudes a computer geek that is afraid to leave his hometown to get a job and drives a car that most of us wouldn't want to be seen in. Yet, he brags about it.

The styling and body is exactly the same. Sorry to disappoint.

The HP in the 2.0s is 155 - almost exactly the same as mine.

Apparently not, given the typical demographic for my car is a male. I may not be dashing but I'm definitely from a family better off than most.

I'm not the one irrationally calling someone's car a chick car because their insecure about their own sexuality and or car purchases. I just like to laugh at people who buy American because it's American. My civic is better than any American car ever made in the last 20 years.

Well here's some data:
http://content.usatoday.com/communities/driveon/post/2010/06/women-love-foreign-cars-men-buy-exotics-/1

Volkswagen Beetle 56.1%
Nissan Rogue 53.5%
Hyundai Tucson 53.0%
Volkswagen Eos 53.0%
Volvo S40 51.9%
Honda Cr-V 51.3%
Kia Sportage 50.5%
Toyota Rav4 50.4%
Nissan Sentra 50.1%

Notice the Civic is not among cars where 50% or more of the owners are women. Next please. I sure hope none of you drive any of the above mentioned cars. Because I used to like the Nissan Rogue but now I can't buy it because it's a "chick car".

M&B 09, You must have an insecurity complex.

First, by posting your disdain for American cars and....

Second, for you to go jump through the hoops to prove that you aren't driving a "girly" car is hilarious.

Third, that you've come from a family better off than most. You must really be looking for "APPROVAL" from your peers, which in this case is this forum.

Let me spell it out to you "N O O N E C A R E S".

This last post was the first time I viewed your thread all day. I still find it amusing.

I just think you're pretty much a douche bag. And you drive a chick car.

That's fine, you're in the majority on these boards it seems about the chick car....but minority nationally. That's all that matters to me. No matter what model of car you drive, someone out there thinks it's a "chick car". You just happen to be one of the people that blindly follows the American brand. So that's just what you are - someone insults your beloved American "bad ass", "man company" so no matter what foreign car I told you I drove - you immediately were prone to calling it a chick car because all American cars have now days is an outdated image of Tim-Allen style manliness.

hey, dh2dr, he thinks you live in a trailer, because you have 2 cars better than his 1 car...

but he really is well off, just ask him.

I could be wrong, but all he ever said about his cars is that his wife owns a "bad ass crossover wagon"...which - lol. Bad ass and crossover wagon don't belong in the same sentence.....unless he's the owner of this:
Ghostbusters_1707264c.jpg

And I assumed he lived in a trailer because his wife cared about cars in any shape or form.

My wife knows about cars because her father has been an avid collector of them over the years.

288hp Black/Chrome, Dark tinted windows, AWD crossover wagon ..... pretty common make in Colorado.
310hp Gray/Chrome, Dark tinted windows, AWD, luxury sports sedan. my car.

Both, owned.

And when I was 25... no, I was not driving a Honda Civic, was certainly not married and wasn't paying a mortgage anywhere. I was jumping off cornices on a snowboard, traveling, seeing as much live music as possible, partying day and night and getting laid as often as I could.

your royal highness, Princess M&B

guess I made up that lost ground.. ;)

BTW, I drive one of the largest vehicles built in America. Not because it's trendy, because it saves lives. So, the $30,000 more is well worth the lives of my children. I also get excellent gas mileage of 16 mpg Hwy.

So you still won't admit what car you drive, that's fine. My guess - you're afraid I'll find an article, or already have, calling your cars "chick cars" - or in your wife's case - man cars.

And it seems you were a late bloomer because I did all of those things in high school/college.

And now am going to have enough money by the time I'm your age to do things, like travel, comfortably. For the most part, I have all the bills I will ever have. Any raise, promotion or lottery winnings (joke) I have in the future are essentially pure spendable/savings income. And by the time I'm your age I'll have around $80,000 invested into my house.

got to give credit to the good folks at UM for this one:
http://www.lbl.gov/Science-Articles/Archive/EETD-SUV-Safety.html

"A researcher with Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (Berkeley Lab) has teamed with a researcher from the University of Michigan in a unique risk analysis study which shows that, contrary to conventional wisdom, vehicle quality is a much more important safety factor than weight for the drivers of vehicles involved in a crash."

"Most cars are safer than the average sports utility vehicle [SUV], while pickup trucks are much less safe than all other types. Minivans and import luxury cars have the safest records," states the report, "An Analysis of Traffic Deaths by Vehicle Type and Model," which was prepared by Tom Wenzel, an energy analyst with Berkeley Lab's Environmental Energy Technologies Division, and Marc Ross, a professor in Michigan's Applied Physics Department."

"The safest small cars, the Volkswagen Jetta and Honda Civic"

"The argument that lowering the weight of cars to achieve high fuel economy has resulted in excess deaths is unfounded."

Ouch....The salesman sure got you

Well, if that's your stance, I'll take you head on in a simple crash test.

Yeah, I didn't think you would.

Yeah, I didn't think you would.

I don't think that would turn out well for either of us.

It's cute you think $80,000 in ten years is a lot of money to have "invested in a house" or at all, really. And if you think what you were doing in high school in Dexter at 16 was remotely like what I was like at 24, you're completely insane. But that's wholly besides the point... We get it, you're a 25yr old sensitive man who drives a sensible woman's car to and from work every day so you can some day afford to go on dreamy vacations that aren't only at all-inclusive Mexican Mega-Resorts!

And I've told you repeatedly exactly what cars we have. The last time you raised this stupid argument. A G37x and OutbackXT

Now, if you'll excuse me, I just got back from a week in Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez wine country and have to get ready for a weekend of football. First hosting MICHIGAN vs Purdue on TV and then the Broncos game vs the Lions at Mile Hi.

Then off to Manhattan Beach and Beverly Hills next week for a couple days of business. Looking forward to going Heli-boarding in Revelstoke in January or February and the many days at Vail between now and then.

Damn, when you think about it ... of all my accomplishments in life, from academic to career to family to being blessed to live a healthy life ... and never once have I owned a Honda Civic.

... My 62yr old mother-in-law does, though. Maybe I'll ask her if I can borrow it and see what this fuss is all about!

Well, my life isn't that exciting Vic. I just returned home from Toronto which was so so.

I head for Seattle next Tuesday for business and I am sure I'll have a great time. On the way home I'll have a short layover in Denver before heading home on Saturday.

February is when I take my next trip for two weeks in London. I know, I know, rainy cloudy day London, but I'll be with some great friends having a great time .

At least I don't have a boring life cramped inside a cubicle. :)

,

I can drive through snow banks like it's nobody's business.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!

I love Seattle and miss going there! Enjoy the brief Denver layover, it's supposed to be better weather than the 6-12" of snow we got yesterday (that was fun to come home to!)

But London takes the cake! Sweet.... I was supposed to be in San Francisco this upcoming week for a conference but got out of it at the last minute, which I'm pretty happy about.

not a bad lifestyle if you don't mind all the travel and odd hours, and there are benefits too, like taking your family to Santa Barbara for a week because you have some work to do....

and then fly home and get in your fat car and drive home .... AWD and in the slush, baby!!

................. passing Civics and Corollas and other chick cars left and right!
