Loses by 17+ points plus since 1969

I don't see Harbaugh getting fired this year. He has a built-in excuses with the hiring of Gattis. "New system". "Players are still learning". "I made a mistake and will be taking back over the play calling". Etc etc.

I think we all know JH is bat shit crazy. He lost the locker room & ownership when he was in SF. I thought he would be better back in college because of the turnover of players.

"the kids are playin' their tails off, and the coaches are screwing it up!!!"

Classic on-field exchange.

yeah, then a couple weeks later, the kids figured that out and no longer played their tails off, discipline issues skyrocketed, locker room fractured into differrent cliques and the dumpster was an inferno that only stopped burning after the players cleared out there lockers at season's end.

None of those coaches pique my interest.

not exactly a who's who of college football but i cant really think of anyone they have a shot at getting that I'd want if this was my team. Main thing i take from the way they look on the field and the fact that Vegas is making a market on who will replace him is how wrong i was about where he would have uofm at this point. I didnt think he would dominate given the B1G East is one of the toughest divisions in CFB, but i definitely thought he was going to be consistently really competitive by now.

If things don't improve, then the coordinators will be fired, not Jimmy. He will be at Michigan unless he wants to step aside after the season.

The fumbles are not the coaches fault. The players that have fumbled need to step up and take some responsibility. Even though Mason hadn't carried the ball the previous couple of games, you don't fumble inside the 5. You just don't! You wrap the ball up. Somebody needs to get in the ball handlers faces and get their minds right.

I am just frustrated as hell right now. Fire them all if things don't turn around. They look awful and lost right now.. This is all Jim's fault. I am tired of excuses.

Under Harbaugh, Michigan has been consistently competitive - 2 out of four years losses on the last day of the regular season kept Michigan out of the B1G Championship Game, where wins there would have propelled Michigan into the CFP.

Competitive - but with epic fails at the end.

Kind of like the last five seasons of Lloyd Carr.

Well, you got Dantonio in the exchange, so, there's that, and he was actually pleasantly surprised with the state of the program, especially in the realm of adacemics, when he assumed control.

A divisional title, championship and a playoff game should have happened. 2016 was the best opportunity. I expected a steady forward progression, not the peaks and valleys we've seen, between and during seasons.

Don't expect next year to be any better. Plenty of holes in recruiting to continue sinking the ship.

Yep. Offensive and defensive lines have been neglected, as have the 2nd and third level of the defense. It's not that they don't have bodies, they're just not very good. I'm just as concerned about the fact that so many players are leaving the program after a year or two.

maybe because he came from Cincinnati. Dantonio is a good coach and he's done more with less than just about any coach in the country but that's not a sustainable model for consistently competing for championships. I'm not sure anyone can recruit at a consistently high level at MSU though - it's hard enough for uofm given the in state talent pool being well below that of other states (FLA, TX, PA, OH, CA, etc) and they're a national brand with a high profile coach. You have to draw a lot of kids to a cold weather climate when they can get paid to play in the SEC on television in warm weather.

DT depth next year is Hinton, Smith, Jeter, and...

seems like there's been an awful lot of volatility for a consistent competitor particularly one with 0 wins against the buckeyes, 0 wins as an underdog, and 8 & 10 vs. top 25 teams.

I wonder if Jim is just running them off? He looks different. He looks lost. Where is his fire, and how could all these holes happen?

Yep.

Three ten win seasons in four years.

Epic, colossal, spectacular fails on championship days.

The loss to SC really sticks in my craw. Last B1G team on the docket and was the only loser of TEN teams in bowl games. ARRRGH

Blown leads are really frustrating; FWIW they hit a bunch of key passes late, and the defense blew it.

As discombobulated and impotent as our offense was that year (2017), at least they got us a lead that game.

Man that game was awesome. Scoring one TD after having a month to prepare was magical. Putting five turnovers on top of that cake was the most delicious icing. Fun times!
