well, they did play better defenses. What impactful DE injury did the Lions suffer. As far as the #1 CB injury...if Houston was on Seattle and got injured it would not impact them since he would be 4th on their depth chart.

Talking number 1 CBs. It impacted Detroit having Houston out and also play hurt. If Sherman play hurt he could give up 10 TDs.

Jason Jones(13.5 games) and Ziggy Ansah (2.5 games plus 4 games hurt shoulder).

Detroit has better DTS, DEs are close when healthy, better LBs and had equal safeties. CB is the only Seattle advantage and may be closer now if Houston gets healthy and Slay develops. Seattle lost Thurmond and Browner for good too.

oh...Jones. The DT that Seattle didn't want but the Lions use as a DE. I forgot about that gem.

Just ignore the Ziggy injury part too. Jones was important and the starter at LE. We didn't want Avril. We swapped. Seattle didn't want Rob Sims and they could really use him.

Equal safeties and close at CB with Houston, and a developed Slay (whatever that means, you keep saying that as though you know he'll be good). You can't honestly believe that can you? One of the best shut down defenses you will ever see is comparable to the Detroit football Lions. I don't even think you believe that. You can't. I think after you typed that, you started laughing because you know you'll get a response from everyone else.

yup...Jones couldn't even start for Seattle in 2012 but he is an important starter on the Lions in 2013. lol

It's the truth talent wise. Seattle played mostly shit offenses (AFC South, NFC West). Seattle had better DE health, CB health and safety health. They have a good defense but so do the Lions when healthy.

I hope Sherman shatters every bone in his body and tears both ACLs. And Seattle gives up 30 PPG because of it.

Yeah, Denver in the SB had a pretty horrible offense. Seattle made them look like a JV squad.

Manning in the cold. Denvers tackle problem with Clady hurt got exposed finally. You know the last time Orlando Franklin got beat that bad. When he played Detroit in 2011 with Avril. Avril owns Franklin. Clark a backup has no chance against Bennett. Ramirez is their 3rd string center and former Millen pick.

Denver missed their all pro LT for the entire season and their best defensive player for 7 games and still made the Super Bowl. I guess those guys missing games isn't as important as Houston's sore toe.

Manning can cover up for that against the shitty AFC west and AFC in general. Not against a good defense. Detroit would have beat Denver easily.

It was never just Houston. Houston/Bentley, Bentely/Quin, Houston/Slay, Houston/Slay/Mathis. All those combos got hurt with Delmas unable to practice with his knee issue. And throw a DE injury issue on top of that.

Give Earl Thomas a bum knee, Sherman a bum hamstring and toe most of the year, Thurmond out 4. Seattle would get torched.

Oh...Shitty AFC west where 3 teams made the playoffs. The AFC west as a division had a point differential of +249. Their 3rd place team was 9-7 and +48. The NFC North was -114 and the winner of that division was 8-7-1. BTW...the NFC west was +274 as a division and their 3rd place team was 10-6 with a +55 point differential.

Isn't it amazing how a lot of elite players can stay healthy. It's like minting their bodies is a job to them. They get it.

A healthy Chris Houston does not equal a healthy Richard Sherman.

A healthy Chris Houston is a nickle or dime DB on Seattle's 2013 defense.

Irvin and Browner have been suspended. Carroll cheated at USC. PEDs very possible for Seattle, especially a 5th round pick.

I can't stand Pete Carroll, but I have no idea what him cheating at USC has to do with the great job he's done at Seattle.

Dood...peyton manning is nothing without jim Caldwell....duh...

Overall good and just as talented, some games not so good. 5 bad rushing days. No Waddle for 4 of them and no Bush for 2 of them. No Calvin/another weapon 2 games wiht poor pass pro those days. But overall good using all 16 games for the Oline.

Some games injured. Seattle didn't play in a blizzard without Lynch.

Lions can match Seattles turnovers with Houston healthy and Slay developed. Sherman didn't have a hamstring and toe injury.

Houston was so bad the Lions released him!
