Michael Williams moving to Tackle

At this point we don't even know if Williams can play in this league, we know Pettigrew can.

If we haven't seen anything from williams, but you believe he's as good as pettigrew, then we could pick up anyone off the streets that will be just as good. That kind of kills the anger of williams converting. We can pick up anyone to run 5 yards, turn, catch, and fall.

I guarantee you he can run 6 yards, turn around, catch a ball, then fall down....just as good as Pettigrew does.

Both jimmy graham and Brandon pettigrew had the same yac per reception. 4.9 middle of the pack

Check your eyes Hughes

Half the time I wish he'd just fall down, better than fumbling it to the other team. I do think a replacement level TE would give us just as much, I'm highly critical of giving him $4 mil this year.

The Saints could use you for Jimmy Graham's contract extension. Hey Brandon Pettigrew is just as good!

Yup yac is something I really need out of my te....riiiiiiigght. where they at on ypr, yards, tds, number of routes they run, coverage they demand, coverage they beat....ya know....important stuff. Yac lol....for a te....bwahahahahahaha!

I've been busy lately so I haven't been on the Lions page much and what do I find?

A Micheal Williams thread that managed to get 7 pages?? Holy shit. Nobody can ever say the Lions aren't a hot topic.

We'd best see some YAC from a Detroit TE for the next several years.

According to Hughes......YAC from a TE is worthless.....so I guess it doesn't matter.

YAC......from a TE......Bwahahahahahahaha!

So the argument booger and lkp are trying to make are graham and pettigrew are equally important in the passing game because they have similar yac.....and I need to check MY eyes lmao. Most ridiculous thing I ever heard...

6 yard route. 4.9 yac per reception. Sounds like a first down to me

Ya...and graham was a 16 yard catch and 4.9 yards into the endzone.....yet you see nothing different about those 2 situations.

Of course they are different kinds of players. I was just pointing out that pettigrew doesn't fall down right away like you thought. Don't try to deflect. Pettigrew has his role, so does ebron(graham) and fauria (redzone) and Michael Williams (extra blocker)

I guess it's true what they say about the importance of the TE position in the NFL - apparently you need 4 guys to do 1 job.

Pettigrews blocking ability makes williams expendable as a TE
