My way too early yardage prediction thread

It's amazing how many great throws you guys forget from Stafford. 4,650 and 29 TDs, 6th in 3rd down conversion came from somewhere, not just receiver bailouts.

All those guys have much better TEAMS than Detroit has had. Why does nobody take that into account. .

Agreed...mayhew sucks. I take that into account ever since hes been here and starting drafting RBs in the first 2 rounds multiple years in a row when rbs aren't a priority in this league anymore. When he takes 5th string injured WRs over defensive help. I agree with booger...the team blows.

It was an absolute travesty that Marino never won an SB.

But come on man, you have to dig to find those names, where I can throw guys like Montana, Aikman, Elway, Young, Warner, Brady, Brees, Manning, Bradshaw, Unitas, Bart Starr. Winning a Super Bowl with an average QB does not happen often. It's the exception, not the rule.

Elway, Young, Brees, Warner took a long while. You are judging Stafford on a full career when he's early in his career still.

He's not early in his career anymore. He's in his 6th year. Times are different. Teams do not groom players like it used to be, right or wrong. Players that are drafted with the 1st overall pick are expected to be game changers relatively early in the process. Honeymoon is overall. Time to show it.

He used his 3 and 4 for LeShoure. Best was worthy of that pick at the time.

Bentley, Green and Greenwood are all better than your boy Josh Robinson who you wanted Round 2 2012.

And hopefully whatever Broyles does in 2014 and 2015 trumps Josh Robinson.

The Manningham throw on the sideline was the best throw in any game ive ever seen. Eli made plays in big moments to elevate his team. Stafford never has had a big moment unless you count beating Cleveland while injured years ago to see who the worst team in the NFL is or beating dallas last year on the qb sneak so both teams can fail to go to the playoffs....yippie.

The Manningham throw was great...i agree. The throw Stafford made to Durham was the best throw i've ever seen him make. Get your head outta your ass, bud.

We remember the fact that he had all of those yards and his TDs. What I find amazing is that you forget all of his terrible throws and ONLY remember the good ones.

Every single name you just mentioned has had MULTIPLE HOF defensive players, OL, and in most cases WR playing with them.

Each of the teams they played on had DOMINATING defenses. DOMINATING!!!!!

How many HOF is staff playing with. ONE.......maybe 2. (suh)

And no, I did NO digging to find those names.

And Bradshaw was terrible. Even for his generation. Scott Mitchell would have had the exact same number of SB rings if you sub him for Bradshaw.

Stafford made the same throw to Ogletree the week before against the Bengals. And the throw to Ogletree against Pittsburgh in the 4th Quarter was incredible too but Ogletree dropped it. Last TD to Calvin at Bears was awesome, last TD against Ravens was awesome but wiped from peoples memories with a 61 yard FG, game winning Td against Redskins to Calvin was awesome in a tight space.

I was there in person. The throw to Durham was fantastic. It's what you expect a top-level QB to make, hitting a guy in stride on a deep route. But it's not even in the same stratosphere as the Manning to Manningham throw.

Bentley green and greenwood don't even play in one of the shittiest secondaries in the NFL....which makes them worse than shitty. Greenwood also went to dallas who was historically one of the worst defenses in the league and got cut there too lmao.....which makes him worse than the shittiest defender in the league. Broyles can ride a bike better than Josh RObinson...that's about it. Josh Robinson is a starter in this league.....youre still waiting on hopes and dreams. But your dreams never come true.

I remember all. And note which ones are his fault, which you don't do. 12 picks only his fault. The good far outweighs the bad with him. Me remebering every throw determines the correct grade on him. Good QB.

Greenwood played well when called upon, Green did solid in 2012 and 2013 and Bentley plays a ton. Not playing doesn't mean Robinson is better. Just that the Vikings have nobody other than Rhodes.

the problem with all these Stafford comparison throws you are making is none of them meant shit lol. Eli did it on one of the biggest stages at a crucial time. Stafford game up how many 4th quarter leads last year? Stafford was the opposite of clutch...

Oh really? The recent teams with Eli Manning and Rodgers had "DOMINATING" defenses? 06 Colts had a great defense? Saints defense in 10? Stop throwing a blanket statement for them all. They all had solid defenses. To call them dominating is ridiculous. I can tell you what most of them had: Great QB play in the playoffs.

Yes, actually it does...

No it doesn't. I can't believe you are that stupid.

Mathis, Slay Houston> Greenwood,Green
Mathis,Slay Houston>>>>>Robinson

Greenwood and Green>Robinson.

That is a very viable situation.

Remember when Aaron Rodgers didn't play for 3 seasons. Man that guy sucks.
