They have a Caldwell to mold a new one.
Put I thought a guy like manning wouldn't of made a difference. Why change Stafford if you already think he is as good as him.

Just because Stafford hasn't had a single game in the last two years in which he had a higher QB rating than Manning averaged over the course of a year does not prove Manning is better. Just Manning has better luck. it's luck that over a 16 game season Manning can have a higher rating QB rating than Stafford can for a single game in 32 attempts. Not to mention every single game The lions were more injured than the other team. The broncos were the healthier team for all 16 games. Plus Seattle shut him down in the superbowl, and our defense is better than theirs, they just got Lucky too.
In fact if you take Staffords game against the chargers in 2011 and extrapolate that over a course of a season he would throw for nearly 6,000 yards, 48TDs and 0 INT. That proves Stafford is as good if not better than Manning. Fact, I am never wrong.
LUCK!!!! Plus Waddle missed a few games. Houston is one of the best CBs in the game, comparable to Sherman. Just not as lucky. We are better off without Houston though.

As good as Manning was in first 61 games. I never said Stafford=current Manning. Never. Jesus if you are too stupid to understand what I say, don't bother posting.
yup...everyone else is stupid EXCEPT for the guy that keeps saying something will happen then it never does and he blames bad luck as to why all his predictions fail. When in reality...youre just a failure....
every time I hear someone say this team or that team has a lot of talent it usually means they are not a playoff team. talent vs execution is what separates the men from the boys. Chris Houston had a lot of talent but never amounted to anything more than an average player. This team is loaded with average players.Everyone knows the Lions talent is there for 10-11 wins. You people are the only ones who fail to recognize it. Turnovers screwed me and alot weren't Stafford's fault. Stafford did enough to win 10 plus games. He's a good player and the Lions defense can be very good with some young player progression.
2014 will prove me right. Not worried at all.

LKP is Matt Stafford. Mystery solved. FINALLY.

You need to add some context. You are forgetting thy it was much more difficult to play QB during Mannings 1st 61 games.
For example during Mannings first four seasons (time frame he played his 61 games in) these are some league wide totals
5 players posted a QB rating over 100
14 threw for over 4000 (21% of those by Manning, 3 seasons)
Season average:
1.25 QB rating over 100
3.5 over 4k (0 over 5k) 2.75 threw for >4k not counting Manning
Now let compare to This past season
7 players posted a QB rating over 100
9 players threw for over 4000 (2 over 5k)
And for the record, Manings drop rate during His first four seasons was within .5 of Staffords, including one season it was actually higher.
It's more difficult to play QB now. The league knows its more pass oriented. Better safeties now, better DBs. Stafford had it tougher than Manning in the AFC South.
Give me proof on the drop rate with a link. Looks like people can't blame Stafford for drops then if Manning had similar drops.
Bottome line 29 TDs, 4,600+ (sometimes 5,000 yards) and low 60% completion with a normal drop rate is a good QB. And that is Stafford.

DBs and safeties are better now. Plus like I said Manning played in a shit AFC South and got better once Caldwell time to town.
Teams throw more now too, which makes keeping the comp % up harder, especially when your weapons get hurt and drop balls like Stafford.

Bottom line 29 TDs, 4,600 or 5,000 yards, 6th in 3rd down conversions and low 60% completion with the correct drop % is a good QB. That's all I care about with Stafford, he's a good QB. Caldwell and these weapons can make him elite.
Manning was in AFC east
1998 4 teams that had more than 9 wins
1999 every team was .500 or above with Manning's Colts winning the division with a 13-3 record
2000 4 teams above .500 with Manning's Colts @10-6 and WC Berth
2001 3 teams with 10 or more wins
