New Batting Order?

Assuming Cabby moves to third, with Fielder at first, what would be your ideal batting order for the Tigers?

Mine:
1) Avila - good OBP, smart hitter who will take walks and deliver the occasional pop to start things strong.
2) Boesch - always good in the first half.
3) Cabrera - clean up, obviously.
4) Fielder - would swap to three depending on opposing pitcher, does the same as Cabby.
5) Peralta - hope he keeps up the hitting, but I expect some regression.
6) Young - possibly provides power deep in the order.
7) Castellanos - start getting him time in the majors
8) Santiago/Raburn - meh
9) Jackson - a pseudo-leadoff spot in later innings, maybe helps him work on his patience and role.

Clean up is 4th, not 3rd.

No way Avila is a lead off hitter, let's not let the guy break down by August again.

1. Ajax (not great, but nobody on team is going to be any better)
2. Boesch
3. swapable Fielder/Miggy
4. see 3
5. Avila (perfect protection for whoever bats 4th)
6. Peralta
7. Raburn
8. Inge/Kelly
9. Santiago

Trade DY for a couple of AA infielders.

Miguel is 3, Fielder is 4. Even with JL and his dumb lineups, mark it in stone.

It probably will change depending on who we're facing, you want the matchup better at the 4th spot.

No offense dude, but why in the hell would you want their slowest runner Avila leading off? Also, 99% of managers don't swap their 3 and 4 hitters based on the pitcher. Cabrera is still their best hitter, clearly better than Prince, and will deservedly hit 3rd this year. Prince will hit 4th.
If opening day were tomorrow:

1. AJ CF
2. Raburn LF
3. Miggy 3B
4. Prince 1B
5. Delmon DH
6. Boesch RF
7. Peralta SS
8. Avila C
9. Ramon 2B

Hmm thinking santiago doesnt sound to bad at the number 2 spot either. gives a bit of speed in front of miggy and prince.

1. Jackson-CF
2. Boesch-RF
3. Miggy-3B
4. Prince-1B
5. Peralta-SS
6. Avila-C
7. Young-DH
8. Raburn-LF
9. Santiago-2B

This is how I see it. But depending on Young and Peralta are producing, you could switch those two.

Cabrera should still hit 4th because he is our best overall hitter. Prince should hit 3rd.

Wait, Cabrera is better than Price, I agree, but you say that now Cabrera will deservedly hit 3rd?

Who was better last year that Cabrera hit 4th, based on your logic?

Cleanup (4th spot) is the most important spot in the lineup, not 3rd.

Well facing Sabathia, I'd want Cabrera 4th, facing Weaver I'd want Prince.

Not many teams are as fortunate to have 2 of the top 5 sluggers in all MLB on it's roster, might as well take advantage of the matchups.

I know we've had this discussion before, but 4th and 5th is more important than 3rd and 4th,

I'd like to see Boesch 3rd and then Cabrera and Fielder. Having Cabrera and V-Mart in 4-5 last year was pretty stellar.

Are we going to have 4 is better than 3 and 3 is better than 4 argument again? I prefer Miguel 3, best hitter. Some agree, like Pujols, Ruth and a slew of others. Some think 4. Means nothing.
