I'm still hoping for Daniel Murphy and the Cuban dude. I'd be okay with that.

I agree. We don't need to completely revamp a team that won 95 games.
agreed, which is why we really need to fix some of our holes on offense and defense and probably get a fifth starter. DD is probably being low-key just in case he cant find any trades, which would really blow. i think we can win the division again with this team, but i dont think we'll do well in the playoffs.Turok said:thehippo73 said:I agree. A lot of those 95 wins came within division during September and after the Tigers acquired Young and Fister.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if both the Tribe and the Royals contend much deeper into next season , perhaps long past the ASB. The White Sox and Twins may not, but IMO, the Twins won't end up in the ALCD cellar, and the White Sox might replace them there. All depends on what happens (or not) during the off-season, and if certain players on both of those teams can return to their career norms and/or some others that were brought up from the minors or had slumped/been injured last season can perform much better.

Yep....but when I envision the Tigers with Jackson "leading" off and playing CF, Young and Boesch in the OF corners, Raburn playing 2B and Inge @ 3B, Don Freaking Kelly giving Miggy or VMart a rest, with Lard catching, I can't help but try to suppress my (((shudder))) when I think about their performance at the plate and/or out on the field...yikes!!

i agree, they have too many infielders now. id actually prefer callaspo over izturis. theyre pretty close to being the same player aside from the fact that callaspo sucks at 2B but is good at 3rd (whereas izturis is decent at either), but callaspo is younger, under control for one more year, and strikes out a lot less.mjsb2 said:With the Angels talking of moving Trumbo to 3B, i think the Tigers will end up trading for one of Callaspo or Izturis.

Haha this first made me laugh, but then I thought about the possibility of it actually happening and it made me a little sick.
I still feel like we are going to move one of our Corner Outfielders, Sign Cepedes, and hopefully whoever we moved will have gotten us somebody who can play 3rd or 2nd (praying that it's Murphy)...well praying might be a little extreme.
That's an MLB record according to Tom Leyden.tycobb420 said:This will be Dotel's 13th team
