Official 2019 Draft

They just said he was 244 pounds, but I remember all last season they were saying he was around 225-230, so that's his playing wieght. And he plays a lot bigger than he is.

But I always thought he looked more like a WR to me.

Reminds me of scheffler.

Loving the value of the day 3 picks that we got and with the whole draft being over now, after my initial kneejerk reaction after day 2 of HATING this draft, I've come around a bit and now am liking what we got. Sure some guys might have been reached for, but how do any of you who are saying we could have said guy 2 rounds later know anything? I'm not saying I love the Tavai pick, but no one knows if he would have been there 2 rounds or even 1 round later like everyone is saying... What if we passed there and the pats picked him with there next pick? Quinn would have missed out on a guy they were targeting apparently since October... I'll trust Quinn and wait and see how he plays before passing judgement on him.

REALLLLY loving the UDFA pick up of Tre Lamar... Some sites had him going between rounds 3 and 5.... Big body thumper of a LB. Also signed a HUGE OT from San Diego State, Ryan Pope, who signed the biggest contract of any UDFA player so far this year... Hopefully he can develop!

Same kmd. While i still think rd1 and rd2 were slight reaches...overall we filled alot of needs and picks like bryant and oruwariye were projected early round picks we got later. Happy with the draft. Rd 3 a bit of a head scratcher but again quin and Patricia value versatility and harris is exactly that. The rb pick i wish we woulda took weber...meh.

Word is Harris can defend the slot pretty well and can thump. I didn't like the RB but the more I hear the more I like. Apparently he has home run speed once he's in the open field and has a decent track record as a returner.

Bob Quinn said the first grade they got on P.J. Johnson came in September because he wasn't on their radar during spring scouting. Brought him in for a Top 30 visit. Thinks he can play all across the interior of the defensive line. Said his first grade on him was pretty good.
Bob Quinn said when he brought in Matt Patricia they had to look at different types of defensive players because the schemes and player types were so different. Said he thinks they are on the way there as far as the type of players they need defensively.
Bob Quinn on what the Lions have at offensive guard -- a spot they didn't take at all during the draft: "We're happy with what we have." They aren't done making moves, but look at Oday Aboushi and Kenny Wiggins as possibilities to start at right guard at the moment.
Bob Quinn said they discussed a few quarterbacks in the middle rounds but they stayed very "true to the board" and didn't want to reach for any positions -- including quarterbacks. Some of the quarterbacks they discussed were gone by the time they picked.
