Other Games - NCAA Basketball version

Yes, ranked teams, unranked teams, teams Michigan has played, other conference teams, etc will have an effect either directly or indirectly on Michigan's season

If you regularly bowl, buy a ball. It is so difficult for me to find a ball I like at the bowling alley. I prefer a lighter ball, but I have big hands/fingers, so yeah. Plus, as mentioned, the balls at the bowling alley are nasty.

Thanks for the link, Tinsel. I'll highlight some games

Today, 1/29/19:

#1Tennessee plays at South Carolina at 6:30pm. Yes, It would be great to see Tennessee go down. I'm not really sold that this team is the best team in the country or even in the top 5. They pulled that one of their asses at Vanderbilt, I thought the refs were helping them out almost every time they went down the court on offense. Michigan played South Carolina, so there is the entire SoS deal there. It would be cool to see a team that Michigan beat, beat Tennessee.

#3Virginia plays at #23 NC St at 7pm. I don't expect much of a game here. I think UVA is going to stomp NC St. I think NC St is just one of those teams they throw in at 23, because they have to come up with 25 teams to rank.

#9North Carolina travels to Georgia Tech at 7pm. Michigan played UNC, obviously.

#11 Kansas plays at Texas at 7pm. Some might find this one interesting.

Northwestern plays at #21 Maryland at 7pm. I'm surprised that Maryland is still ranked. I thought they lost 2 games last week. I guess they have to find 25 teams to rank. They'll be a tough out for anyone at their home arena.

#24 UW plays at Nebraska at 7pm.

#7 UK plays at Vanderbilt at 9pm. I'm throwing this one out there, because Vanderbilt hung with Tennessee, so maybe they'll hang with UK. I don't think this UK team is as good as the usual UK teams we see. They might improve as the season goes on. Vanderbilt does not have a very good record, though.

#8 Nevada plays at UNLV at 11pm. Maybe UNLV will give them a game. I'll be in bed.

SC is hanging around but they just dont have the horses it seems. They get within 2 and the defense totally breaks down on multiple possessions. Within 5 again

Rutgers has really improved a lot . They are 11-9 now and 4-6 in the Big Ten with three wins in a row. They have beaten Nebraska 79-69. At Psu 64-60. Then Indiana tonight at home 66-58.

First time winning three in a row since 2003-04 when they were in the Big East for Rutgers.

Rutgers has won 3 straight B10 games for the first time ever! That is really rather sad when you realize they have been in the B10 for 4 years

And first time since 2003-04 back in the big east was the last time they win three in a row in any conference. Can that even be right . Wow. When I heard that I took a double take on how bad they have been for awhile.

VaTech - 47
NC State - 24

This was a top 25 basketball game today. Both teams should be put on a floating block of ice and set adrift for the rest of the season.

This is why games like last night don't matter from a national perspective. It only hurt Michigan's chance at a Big 10 regular season championship. Games will be a lot different when Michigan gets out of conference again.

UNC is winning at Louisville 68-53 with about 5 minutes to go.
