Other Games - NCAA Basketball version

Tired of Purdue sliding through the cracks to the title that belongs to Michigan or MSU lol..
Wish they would get knocked off.

Purdue's 3 conference losses are @Michigan, @MSU, and @Maryland. Difference for them is they didn't get tripped up with a bad loss along the way like the rest of us did.

That Penn State game still bothers me.

College basketball is so superior to the NBA. On a Saturday, you can have so many incredible matchups between top 25 teams.

The atmospheres, the upsets... It's awesome.

Careful, you're going to offend the MSU trolls who are closet Duke/Gonzaga/Purdue fans aka Anyone but Michigan

The regular season title would be great, and our guys still have a definite shot at it-but our guys were in the driver seat-not a lock, but the driver?s seat-for it, and ruined that with that horrible uninspired performance at Penn State.

A season sweep by either MSU over Michigan or vice versa-in my opinion pretty unlikely-should probably solidify it for the team that sweeps.

Purdue and Michigan have played each other once in Michigan once and Michigan won.

Purdue and the Spartans have split.

Exciting finish coming up here.

Both Michigan and the Spartans play somebody tomorrow right?

I'm sitting here watching that handicapped Duke struggle against unranked Syracuse and they're talking about the Boeheim accident. I feel bad, but what is a 70 year old worth 50 million driving around in a blizzard for?

TT has their pants down and just started shitting all over Kansas. 39-17 with 5 left in the first half.

Texas Tech has a really good defense with a lot of length. They look pretty dominating on that side of the ball.

Kansas feels like a possible 3-4 seed that gets bounced in the first round. They just don't have much.

Michigan plays defense.

yes, some teams actually try to play defense. But for the most part, the college game is just like the NBA. I was watching the Duke/Cuse game yesterday. The two teams combined to shoot 52 threes and only made 27%.

The college game is just like the NBA except the players aren't as good and the 3 point line is closer.

so uofm's finish would have been no different if they lost Webber for the season in late February?

This is a strawman argument. Absolutely no one claimed that Duke's season would be no different if they lost Zion. Nobody made that claim. I was talking about an article that came out that said that Duke's title chances were completely gone if Zion missed the rest of the season. Yes, their season might turn out differently, but would their title chances be completely gone?

Three of the fab 5 were highly recruited. No one gave them any chance in hell of winning the national championship as freshmen. They weren't considered the best team in the nation like Duke is this year. Everyone this year has talked since before the season and during the season that this Duke team is one of the best collection of talent ever and stuff of this nature.

Duke's roster has a lot more talent than the Michigan team had with the fab 5.

Zion Williamson was a 5* and was ranked #5 in the nation.

Joey Baker was a 4* and was ranked 33, Freshman

RJ Barrett was a 5* and was the #1 recruit in the nation, not Zion. He'a freshman.

Marques Bolden was a 5* and was ranked 14th in the nation. He's a junior now. Did the fab 5 team have a highly ranked upper classman like this? I don't think so.

Javin Delaurier was a 4*#39 in the nation, freshman (the lowest ranked player in this freshman class, I doubt King and/or Jackson were in the top 40)

Tre Jones was a 5*, the #15 recruit in the nation, is a freshman

Alex Oconnell was a 4*, ranked 68 in the nation, is a soph

Cam Reddish was a 5*, #2 ranked recruit in the nation, again higher than Zion. (freshman)

The fab 5 had Webber, Jalen Rose, and Juwan Howard. These guys were highly rated recruits. Jimmy King and Ray Jackson were not that highly regarded.

As stated, this Duke freshman class was talked about how they were better than the fab 5 and if you look at the recruiting rankings, they are probably higher ranked than the fab 5 would've been. This is Duke. They have a deep team. The fab 5 was not deep at all.

If they lost Zion, their title chances would not be completely gone. Does his absence change things? Of course.
