Zion blows out of his shoe on the first play and may have hurt that leg. I have never seen a shoe break like that ever in a game or anywhere other then a old shoe. Weird. Looked like the whole rubber bottom split off the shoe.

Random bad news: Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim ran over and killed a guy yesterday.

sounds like a tragic accident; guy had gotten out of a stalled car on the freeway and Boeheim hit him (link).

at least Boeheim was not drunk according to cops, and his family said he doesn't drink period.

Sounds like roads were icy and driving conditions sucked in general. Really unfortunate situation. I've had to change a tire on the side of the interstate before and it's not a good feeling.

You never know if some texting or drunk asshole is going to hit you.

If I lived in Syracuse, I would get rid of my cars and trade them for Jeeps or trucks with huge tires. We may have snow and ungodly winds, here in Wyoming, but we got nothing on the amount of snow those fuckers see.

I'm not relishing the injury of Zion or anything, but this is Duke. It should still be good losing 1 player. It's not like we're talking about Michigan or something.

I don't get it either. they still have one of the better coaches in the game, plus plenty of time (and talent) to change their gameplay to adjust for his loss.

because it was in a construction zone I couldn't avoid it, or get off to change it (no shoulder).

was lucky I saw a sign that there was a rest area a mile ahead. drove all the way there on the rim, and put the spare on there, then had to find a Walmart autoshop to get a new tire (Walmart auto was the only repair place open on Sunday in rural Texas).

I was a Walmart Wolverine.
