Ownership Supports Caldwell

Wooooooooooooooooooooooo!! Here comes the spin!!

They didn't have 11 wins last year? What spin are you looking for exactly? He took an 11 win team from a year ago and turned them into shit. its fact...

I predicted 10 wins last year. I said before the year started anything under 10 wins this year would be piss poor....Caldwell proved to be worse than piss poor.

They've been putting out lists of them for the last 3 months...pick one.

Cant interview ANYONE currently on an NFL team until that teams season ends.......so you want us to have interviewed someone who doesn't have an NFL job to run the team???

Got it.

You sir, are a genius.

Its just funny that you blame everything on Caldwell. I would really like to see a change, but i'm not going to lose my mind if he stays. The Doom and Gloomers will take care of that for me. In my eyes, this was a 9-7 ball club, but in reality they're not. I still think Caldwell at least deserves an interview with the new GM.

Who else should I blame? He was terrible this year lol.

Only reason I even entertain the idea of Caldwell is because of how Stafford performed under Cooter. And that's making a long term decision based on a short term sample size....not smart.

Who else to blame? Joe Lombardi ring a fucking bell? Lol

Caldwell hired him.
Caldwell kept him after Lombardi sucked last year
Caldwell did nothing when he continued to suck this year
When Caldwell finally did fire him he still lost back to back vs GB/STL

Appearantly, it doesn't matter to ol Hughesy.......he just wants SOMEONE hired.

That's his argument......not a specific person.....just SOMEONE!!!

lol

And apparently we're losing out on all these hot shot candidates? Crazy.....because i don't recall anyone getting hired yet. The season is still going on, right? Oh ok lol

The rules are different for GMs you morons. They can start interviewing tomorrow...anyone...anywhere...tomorrow. We will see how prepared they are. There were potential candidates that could have been interviewed sooner...Louis Riddick and Michael Lombardi come to mind.

Agreed. Still not all on him though. How about Austin? His defense was a joke for most of the year. I'm willing to give him a pass because he lost some key players.

Lol. You're the moron. You don't know that they didn't reach out to Lombardi or Riddick. And Accorsi makes that call anyways....

Personally I don't care if Caldwell is fired or not. But I'll say what I said the other day. A bunch of you have absolutely zero faith in the organization and you have zero faith for them to hire the right guy. So what's your hurry to replace this head coach? You are absolutely already going to hate whoever we hire. It doesn't matter who it is...you'll hate him.

You have to much hate for our past (and I get that) to be rational or objective about our future. Whatever we do, you'll hate it. So who do people want to see as out next head coach? Who is the guy the new GM should hire...or does that human even exist?

I like Austin...I think Mayhew did him in this year. Lost a ton of pieces and mayhew did nothing to improve the team.

Mainly, secondary needed improving...did nothing
DE opposite Ansah needed improving....did nothing
He did try to replacing Suh, Fairley, Mosely....with Ngata and Walker....D for effort.

I had no faith in Mayhew to make the right call. Because he continuously made the wrong call. Extended Schwartz to one of the highest paid coaches in the NFL after 1 decent year....then wanted him gone less than a year later. lmao..what a fucking joke.

Then the Caldwell/Lombardi dream team.

Theres a lot of potential Gm and coaching combination I could get very excited about....but we have a president that like managed a couple hotels or something for the Fords making the call....so I wont get my hopes up.

They were young at CB though. Couple of young players coming back from injury too. Even drafted Carter in the 3rd to bolster that secondary. Late steal in Diggs as well. Don't say he did nothing there because thats false.
I agree with the DLine part. At least Taylor stepped up. He at least deserved a chance to earn a starting gig next year. Reid was ok too. Really want them to go hard after a DL somewhere in draft or FA

Was a nice audition this year for our nickel starter next year between Lawson and Diggs....but neither of them deserve to start on the outside. We rolled into this year expecting a 50 year old Mathis to continue to play well....ya no one expected that but mayhew.

Reid did play well....good rotational guy. We probably need 2 new DT starters again this offseason.

RT, CB and DT should be our draft next year. With a WR sprinkled in somewhere.

I'm probably in the minority but I haven't seen any suggestions that make me want to see our coaching staff walk (again). I'd like to see this staff get one more shot.

Austin proved that in his second year as a defesnive coordinator that he could lose multiple key players and still make it work. Just took him a bit too long, experience could/should prevent that from happening again.

Cooter, despite taking over a unit mid season that was abysmal at best, really got the most out of the offense even if it was against sub par defenses in some (most?) cases. Can't punish a guy for doing what he's supposed to do.

Caldwell kept a team that wasn't going to make the playoffs motivated and competitive until week 17. Many of us may not like the lethargic robot routine but it's pretty clear the players respond to him. He gets negative points for the Lombardi hire and possibly for not firing him sooner, we'll see if that's enough to bury him I guess.
