From what i have seen from Jones when he played in Seattle? Yes. You're getting a hard-nosed guy who can play inside and outside on thr DLine.
And Taylor looked very promising in spot duty as a DE. It's not just all about the numbers. It's evaluation snd Taylor made Young expendable. Are you seriously worried about losing Willie fn Young, bro? lol

Well both are tight spots - I'd say tie goes to DE due to the importance of the position and the fact that we may want to take advantage of some of those double teams our $22 mil cap hit DT is taking on.

Young played 771 snaps and produced 3 sacks, 4 TFL and 11 solo tackles (18 assists too).

Not sure I'm gonna miss all that "production"!

Taylor has the size/speed but had trouble when given more responsibility at SC. That was his knock and why he fell to the 4th. I'd feel much better with some insurance there, that is why Hughes was harping for Peppers and I tend to agree. Maybe the draft will help, who knows?
