Its his throwing hand thumb and IF it requires surgery which I am hearing more and more then yes it would sideline him at least for the remainder of the regular season.

you're hearing more and more ?? lol

you got lovie on speed dial , or did ya just hear Costas say it like the rest of us on Sunday night Football.

Not Lovie lol.

3 teams from the NFC North aren't making the playoffs...healthy Cutler or not.

Whether 3 would have made it or not its a lot more likely the Lions can get one of the 2 WC spots with probably Atlanta or Dallas picking up the other if indeed he misses the remainder of the year.

Hanie is a capable back up....Bears lose in Oakland with or without Cutler next week.

Atlanta , Detroit , Dallas and Giants will slug it out for the WC

they're all must wins now....but if you lose this week to GB.

Oakland , Minny and San Diego wins could get you in with 10 wins.

Look at the time of my post which was clearly ahead of the remark by Costas. It was going around for more then an hour before anything remotely close to being reported. Lovie didn't even mention the break in his post game break so many thought it wasn't as severe but turns out after x-rays and the needed surgery it makes it more of a pressing matter which then makes it more of a story now then an hour or so ago when it was originally reported.

Per rotoworld

"We can wait for more confirmation this week, but all signs point to Cutler's regular season being over. Chicago's chances at a playoff run are going to take a big hit."

wow. the season has changed immensely if this is true.. although we do still need 10 wins like slick said... so best chances are minny, san diego, and oakland

you got it shooter....10 gets you in.

we dont play the Bears so , I could careless if he plays again or not.

we have to get to 10 wins.

So I'm thinkin that chicago is out of playoff race... wild card comes down to Detroit, Atlanta, Dallas/NYGiants the other winning their division

so let's hope that giants win their division because we have tie breaker over cowboys

AND KEEP PRAYING atlanta loses

Would of been at least relevant to make fun of the story if indeed I posted something false but look everywhere now and it backs up everything I posted.

Not claiming all the bullshit you hear posted here from others with cousins inside the front office or girlfriends and so forth but I do have contacts that most would if your in my line of work.

Cheers....... Thought it would be something interesting to see the stuff posted here before ESPN lol.

With a Giants loss, and upcoming games against the Pats and GB they could be 6-6 in two weeks.

Yeah the Giants have a brutal schedule down the stretch and would be lucky to come out 9-7 less lone 10-6.

@New Orleans
Green Bay
@Dallas
Washington
@New York Jets
Dallas

Going 3-3 would put them at 9-7 and that is being generous with their remaining schedule. Our main competition before today in my opinion was Chicago and Atlanta (since they own the tie break against us).

the bears have oakland, kc, denver, seattle, GB, and Minn left. they could easily win 5 of those if Cutler isn't out. If he is out, they could still win 3 or 4 of them. This doesn't put us in the driver's seat for the WC at all. I think we need to win 11 to guarantee our spot.

3 or 4 without Cutler? Put 8 in the box and contain Forte and its game over.

I've seen 2 in a box... I imagine 8 would rip that sucker wide open.

i said they COULD win 3 or 4. look at the schedule they have left. even with caleb haney, 3 or 4 wins is possible.
