Playoff chances looks like it just increased some.

That's the thing, on the road against a good running team and not so good run defense for Detroit. I should have asked Slick for odds :)

Out of the real winnable games, no GB or NO, Oakland is the toughest match up. We need to beat GB or NO.

If McFadden is back, totally different dynamic. I'd expect him to play by then... I dunno... Michael Bush is a little bowling ball too

pearls of wisdom ???

Oakland runs it well....Lions have trouble stopping the run.

Oakland has a ton of speed at WR....Lions Safetys are always late helping.

Palmer will be settled right in by then....Oakland can rush the passer and for some reason opposing QBs just plain play bad against them..they're 6th overall in the NFL in QB rating against.

just a hunch.....

Ya and they get lots of INTs too.

I dunno... I just look at the last 2 games they played and think it's a winnable game - I totally see where you're coming from though with the numbers.

so, just to recap, Slick is betting that the lions will get beat in Oakland? Mitch took him up on the offer? are you doing points or is it just win/loss?

Mitch[/color]]Win loss. Why get complicated.

Points mighta helped you out. Lions will probably dogs on the road unless they roll GB and NO and Oakland tanks...

Probably a pk even with losses to both at most maybe 3 pt dog. With one win against either GB or NO 3.5-5.5 Lions favorite.

Its a toss up game should be a fun one to bet. Best case scenario we get up and can get after Palmer and force turnovers. Worst case ground control to majors Bush and DMC.

Unfortunately no. Prior obligations.

So much for any potential playoff increase after today's TGD game debacle, the Lions as a whole have played largely undisciplined football for most of the season, they now may have trouble just winning one more game, and wind up going 8-8 for the season. Obviously playing on their home field isn't much, if any advantage to them, not during this season anyway. Likely the Packers will remain undefeated by week 17, we will see how motivated they are to remain that way, if/when that game no longer has, or has very little if any meaning or bearing on their playoff seeding otherwise.

If it comes down to Lions making or missing the playoffs in their final game vs GB, GB may want to just put us out of our misery.

We need NFC wins over the games with San Diego and Oakland.. Unfortunately we have Minnesota at home and Green Bay and New orleans on the road.. heck we may lose to minnesota because we play so poorly at home. (3-3)... So even if we finish at 10-6 with wins over SD,Oakland, and Minnesota we will still end up 6-6 in the NFC and probably miss out because of tie-breakers which is a shame..
