No it's not. That's blaming the refs for losing. You know what type of franchises do that? Losing franchises.

Refs caused some of the losses. Calvin gets mugged and Suh gets held. There were other reasons too but refs were one of many. Going forward, we'll see if the calls even out. We'll see how much health we have this year (hope for 2011 type health). We'll see if we have to play in a blizzard (taking away our strength of passing) without our Right Tackle and running game. We'll see if they can reduce turnovers with better weapons and less predictable coaching and force more with a more aggressive scheme. We'll see if the new weapons fix the drop % and comp% with better separation. We'll see if the pass defense can improve with some health, year 2 progression and a new safety (23rd YPG, 12th comp %, 13th TDs allowed and 15th ints).

Lions should have the most called on opposing defenses. Calvin is absolutely mugged. And then you have defensive holding too.

7-3 in 2011. Less than 4 YPC is a bad rushing day. Had healthy weapons in 2011. And we have better weapons in 2014.

The 2013 had better rushing than 2011. And only injured derailed them in the 6 bad days. 2 Calvin missing, 3 Bush missing and one Oline shuffle (cincy).

Look for 16 good rushing days in 2014.

2011 the entire Oline, top 3 WRs, top two TEs and QB didn't get hurt. Only Best for 10 games. And Bush doesn't have concussion problems.

Health is possible. Or non essential to the run game could get hurt.

On average Bush has missed 3 games a year. Hell...he got injured in warm ups last year! The Lions are not going to be as lucky as they were in 2011. Like we have been saying....injuries happen to every team all of the time. You have to expect them and then overcome them.
