Scoreboard Watching 2011

Mitch[/color]]Passing Boston, without passing NY doesn't do much. Maybe bragging rights. Wild card will be the road team to us whether we pass them or not. Assuming we face them.

It's all about bragging rights.

The only team besides the Tigers that really matters right now is the Rangers. No way the Indians/White Sox pass us and it would be really hard to pass both Boston and the Yankees, which wouldn't matter unless we made the second round anyway.

whitesox starter Jerk Peavy has been shut down for the season, barring something unexpected. Wednesday's starter is TBA, but could be Dylan Axelrod.
The White Sox rotation vs. Detroit now is: John Danks, Gavin Floyd and TBA.

We're gaining on the sox and yankees and slowly pulling ahead of the Rangers. We need to keep this up.

Not sure I want to put too much space bewteen us and Texas. Angels scare me more than the rest.

Furbush - 5 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 6 SO, 0 BB

Not bad so far vs the Yankmees. MikenB is having an orgasm right about now.

Well, we just passed Boston by percentage points, even though they have played one less game. Now lets see if we can catch the Yankees, which i think is totally unrealistic...but you never know.

NYY has a fairly tough schedule remaining.

DET has a virtual cakewalk.

Nothing unrealistic about making up 4 games on the Yankees with 13 to play.

Rangers won. But Tigers' magic number is down to 2. Sweet.

Our fellow AL Central teams won't even get a chance to help us out...

The only games between AL Central teams and the top 6 in the AL is
Cleveland vs Texas today
Minnesota vs NYY for a make-up on Monday

Yeah, they're playing teams like Baltimore, Toronto, Seattle, and Oakland instead.

Ogando already at 52 pitches after 2 innings. Dammit. Still 0-0 though...

Now the score-board watching switches to playoff seeding. :) Rooting against the Yankees will not be hard...been doing that most of my life. Rangers seem to be having consistency issues right now. By the way, what's the score in the Indians game? Oh yeah...WHO GIVES A SHIT??? Lol....

I like it. they are 4 and 13 for September with a staff era around 6.00.

Boston's September slide on verge of reaching historic proportions.
The slides of 1948, 1974, and 1978, maybe too 2011.
