Stafford ranked 13th

He did win the division with his play. Even against Bucs (3 TDs), Ravens (should be game winner), Steelers (27 points plus fake FG), Cards and Benglas (plenty of points and blocked/missed field goals.

And had no help at Vikings and at Green Bay. No weapons, run game or pass pro those days.

Blizzard negated his abilities as it would any QB.

Stafford played like a 15-1 QB.

He gift wrapped the TB loss with 4 INTs and a pick 6
He gift wrapped the Ravens loss with 3 INTs
He gift wrapped the NYG loss with 2 INTs and a pick 6

From the NYG game recap
Manning was 23 of 42 for 256 yards with a TD pass to Jernigan -- his first career score -- and an NFL-high 26th interception.

Matthew Stafford was worse: 25 of 42 for 222 yards and two interceptions, the second was returned by Will Hill for a TD that tied it at 20 with 4:57 left in the lackluster game.

Stafford threw high and wide of 6-foot-7 tight end Joseph Fauria, who had to leap just to get his hands on the errant pass.

"We have had back-to-back heartbreakers at home with games decided by field goals," said Stafford, who was also lamenting last Monday night's loss to Baltimore on Justin Tucker's 61-yard kick in the final minute.

Tampa Bay he was the offense too. 3 TDS and a game winner really to Calvin. Only 2 of the picks were on him. He more than made up for them.

Giants game was the one loss I gave him.

Ravens game, first was a tipped ball and the last pick doesn't even happen if the ST/D does it's job. Stafford threw a game winner. 2nd int was a terrible play call. Stafford played well enough to win that game too. And Lions score one more TD if refs open their eyes and see the PI by Webb on Durham.

you are a moron

Nope. I'm informed. I watched the game and just gave you a bunch of facts and context of the games. Which you are ignoring. So you are the moron.

facts? the FACTS are that Stafford had 19 INTs and the Lions went 7-9. You gave a "fact" that Stafford was a 15-1 QB. That's a fact??? You don't give facts...you make excuses while the rest of us give you the facts.

Plenty of other things were facts. Pretty much everything else but you chose that statement. Based on his play you could see 15 wins. Only 12 ints his fault.

19 picks all Stafford's fault is not a fact. It's a dumbass thing to say actually.

see...you still don't get it. I said that it was a fact that he had 19 INTs. Go look at his stat line on any web site...it will say 19 INTs. That is a fact. You live in a fantasy land where there are "true wins", "15-1 records based on play", "true INTs", etc.......

Not every int is a QBs fault. That is a fact. If you don't get that, you are a moron beyond repair.

Stats lie in the case of ints (volume stat, depends on the blame). A QB can play like a winner and the team still lose. Also a fact.

I guess if INTs are a volume stat so are yards and TDs. All yards and TDs should not be credited to the QB either since it is the O line, WRs and RBs that all have an impact on what the QB is doing.

TDs are the goal numbnuts. And you get more first downs converted you get more TD chances. Which is why Stafford is so awesome. He leads us down the field and still scores a ton. Even despite his weapons/RBs fumbling like crazy and having bad field position. And even rushing TD drives the QB can get alot of the credit depending how they got down the field. If the QB has a ton of yards, the QB is what got them down the field.

The downside to your QB being awesome like Stafford and getting so many first downs is you have more int opportunities, especially with bad weapons. So if he has 29 TDs and 6th in 3rd down conversions and 6th in first downs passing, the 12 ints his fault doesn't detract from that or overshadow that. Big picutre, everything combined taking into context, Stafford is a very good QB.

So awesome....so awesome that the Lions have won 11 games in 2 years AFTER making the playoffs.

Hey, those are facts too.

Not his fault his team got hurt, his RBs/weapons are so turnover prone (fumbles and causing ints too) and his past defenses can't hold a lead. Mainly 2012.

Stafford is the lowest of the low reason why we lost so many games. Many times he's the only reason we are even in games.

I'm just using your "logic" and I use that term very loosely! If INTs are because Stafford throws so much so are his TDs & yards. Look at his career adjusted yards per attempt...6.55. Active players that are ahead of him:

Rodgers
Rivers
Romo
Manning
Brady
Ben
Brees
sSchaub
Newton
Ryan
Garrard (LOL)
Vick
Palmer
Cutler
Dalton
Flacco
Stafford

That is not very good.

Stafford is not Awesome...he isn't even very good...he is just average with some potential due to his age.

YPA is based on style of play (offesnive systems) and also the YaC of weapons too. Burleson, Pettigrew and RBs don't usually rack up the yards. Stafford does more than his job with less. 6.55 YPA is too be expected with slower WRs and TEs. Plus with Calvin, teams give up the underneath stuff because they are scared to death of the deep stuff. So Stafford smartly takes stuff underneath. Lions see two deep safeties a ton. And Staffords rookie season of 6.01 YPA drops his career average a ton.

You can't knock Stafford for YPA. Stafford converts first down after first down and it leads to a ton of TDS. He didn't have the complimentary weapon help, many times no running game help (about half the time), and certainly doesn't get the turnover help. When he got the turnover help, 41 TDs.

TDs, first downs and 3rd down conversion and ints their fault is how you judge a QB. Then you look at the context with how much help he did or didn't get (pass pro, turnovers, fumbles lost from weapons). Stafford didn't get much help but produced a ton.

Chubby check down #2. You'd think his completion percentage would be solid

A ton of tds, lol!! A ton of picks, that's more accurate. Stafford needs to get better, a lot better

Funny how 2011 and 2013 his YPA was just fine. Had explosive RBs.

2009 and 2012 were much lower. Didn't have explosive RBs.

Not a coincidence.
