Steelers loss

Retard....try and focus for a minute. i was just wondering if drops and throw aways counted against his comp % and it shouldnt realistically. thats not on Staff. throws that are batted away, knocked down or picked should. thats all on Staff.

now i know youre a fn dummy and you probably dont get it but just ask a 10 year old to help you, ok?

retard....completion % is the number of complete passes divided by the number of passes thrown. You don?t arbitrarily "not count" some passes that aren?t caught because you think it wasn't the QB's fault. Are you new to the game of football? If you and LPK want to start some new stat that makes you feel better about your hero Stafford go ahead.

OOooo the R word. Get him Mitch

And if you don't count it for every QB, then it's very valid and smarter than regular comp % to compare QBs.

What is considered a drop?

On the 4th down play (I think) when stafford tried to thread it between two defenders on a slant route to CJ is that considered a drop? Sure he could of caught it but it would of been a tough catch, with a limited reach because of two defenders on you I wouldn call that a drop.

Or a drop behind the LOS with a defender bearing down on you a drop may actually save yards. On 3rd and 9 a three yard pass with a drop isn't a big deal if you aren't going to get the first down anyways.

A perfect pass is easier to catch than one you have to stretch, jump or slide for. Some of drops are truly drops and completely on the WR, some are about 50/50 on QB and WR and some are more on the QB.

Plus if we start giving more credit to a QB because he has drops, we need to take away credit for the WR making a great play. Not many WR can go up in triple coverage and come down with the ball.

That's similar to Staff doesn't have his number 2 or 3 for certain games but how many teams have a Calvin.

You do realize Stafford is only 54% completion to Calvin. Calvin can hinder some too with forced balls. See the int. Pettigrew, Bush, Bell and Burleson he has a good comp %.

So its on Waddle? Lol.

Waddle or a terrible play design. If Waddle is supposed to stay tight, it's on Waddle. If he's supposed to go block Clark, it's on the special team coordinator or Linehan.

Plus it's low risk with the Steelers starting at the 3. 97 yard drive there should be some answers for that one.

That's because Staff is not a high % QB. Calvin doesn't hinder anything, forced throws are on the QB.

let's go even further. Let's not count YAC towards passing yards. If a WR makes a great play on a bad pass it should also be an incompleteion becuase it was more the WR than the QB. INTs at the end of the 1/2 don't count. Yardage at the end of the game when a team is down 21 only gets 50% credit.

Or maybe the defense was prepared and thumped us?

Forced throws are on the QB but you force it to Calvin when the other WRS aren't open. Again back to the Burleson and Broyles injuries.

Plus Brady has two shit rain games too. Rain can drag it to 41% completion.

Plus Calvin has 7 drops in 10 games. 2011 he had 7 drops in 16 games.

This made me laugh.

You're bringing up Brady again. I have no idea what happened in those games.

But as far as yesterday, in the rain, we had 2 QB. One looked like a hall of famer and the other looked like a rookie.

They had the same rain, same conditions etc.

They had shorter throws and different conditions at different times of scoring and routes run and coverage. They got YAC. Antonio Brown and Bell YAC won that game for them.

Then why didn't Staff throw short if he was having trouble throwing longer throws?

Oh wait a minute, when they had the ball the rain stopped and when we had it - monsoon season?

Off the top of my head: Manning, Brees, Rodgers, Wilson, Rivers. And even in just a few games the guy on Philly.

Fair enough....good list. Staff has been just as good except for Manning and Brees. And i wouldnt put Nick Foles on there just yet. too small a sample size

1st Quarter it didn't. And Pittsburgh scored two TDs and it picked up after the Steelers 4th Quarter TD.

Plus you know facing different secondaries (Steelers 4th in the league) and pass rush and situations of routes run and who is open. the condiitions weren't the same.

Do you know weather can change over a 3.5 hour span? 2nd and 3rd Quarter Lions were going one direct. 1st and 4th different directions.

Really? Lol.

Why does it always go against the Lions. Those bastards..

It did on Sunday. Not always and sometimes when you take the wind like Morningwheg it doesn't matter. 5 of the next 6 inside. Shouldn't be a factor other than Philly unless the Metrodump roof collapses again
