suh suspended

Yeah I don't understand that either. I hate the entire idea of "You can't make that call this late in the game." Why not? It's still the same game, right?

Same concept here. Super Bowl or Preseason, it's still illegal, and he intended to hurt the guy. It wasn't vicious, and on it's own, it doesn't deserve a suspension. But he's done enough shit, and he's been fined enough that he played with fire.

As far as the last statement tigermud, so players should try and injure someone week 17 because they shouldn't be suspended for a playoff game?

we we'll just have to disagree Mitch, I don't think he tried to injury him if anything he realized who he just stepped on and thought hey Rodgers fk you and then proceeded to step off an walk back to the Huddle. Not something worthy of a suspension IMO in any week. So he's an ass, we all know that, he's not the first NFL player to be an ass during a game and I'm sure he won't be the last. The issue seems to be because he'd didn't imminently step off, turn around and help him up he should be fined and suspended ok whatever.

No the issue is he's been a dirty player in the past.

It's nothing unique to the NFL, you are a habitual offender your penalty is more severe than a first time offender.

The fact that anyone could even debate whether or not Suh's actions were with malicious intent should be enough to not warrant a suspension. Such a punishment should only be handed down if his actions where undeniably intended to harm another player (ex. Raiola).

I don't understand the logic behind the "not looking back" statement either. He's not at the grocery store where he may have stepped on an old lady's foot. He knows it's another player he stepped on. He doesn't need to whip his head around to see who it was and apologize. If he looks back at Rodgers then it would seem like an accident?

He didnt look back because he doesnt care. Regardless....it still shouldnt be something that you get suspended for. I think the ruling gets reversed in the appeal and dropped to a fine. If not, bush should wear a "he stepped on me" t shirt.

Do you and LKP always have to be on opposite sides...I mean the one time he's bemoaning a Lion's actions you're there to take the opposite side.

It's obvious then, suspension. There was malicious, that's why we're arguing here. Just waiting for fn tool from Tony so I can call it a day.

Yeah no kidding. Still can't believe they let him off but it is what it is..

That is probably the best outcome. Now some of the idiots here can relax and get off the "everyone is out to screw the Lions" bandwagon!

Right decision... We shall see... Maybe the NFL will call some holding on the team
playing our defense.... Refs in GB sure didn't... :/

I'm guessing the appeal conversation ended like this.....if we overturn your suspension and let you play, you better be a fuckin' choir boy out there next week and not makes us look like idiots.

Hopefully he almost kills Romo.

Or 'I know you did this on purpose but because I hate the Cowboys.."

Appeal. Ted Cottrell. Suh wins it, plays.

Just pointing out I said this two days ago. Think like a slimy lawyer and you can think like the NFL. This allows them to play both sides and shift any of the blame off the shield on to a scapegoat. Even the way they worded his suspension with no mention of prior incidents tipped their hand.

I still think it was the wrong decision because of the fine. I don't see it as intentional. I know many here will disagree, and many will agree. I just don't buy it.

Yup, what you think this means they win now something. Lol

NFL network pundits prove my point they basically said they are glad he will play Sunday becuase it's a playoff game and he's a star, the game needs its stars they should suspend him for a game or two to start the next season instead, wow r u fkm lol its all about player safety! Unless of course it's a star and a playoff game wouldn't want o do anything to lower the ratings. lol yup all about player safty halirous those ass clowns just proved my point for me and they may even actualy beleive thier own bullshit

Too funny
