Tigers and MLB 2018 offseason

Sorry Tom, but I was referring to those that all already on the 40-man roster and basically ready. Turnbull, Carpenter, Hall, Soto as examples.

Hall is the only one of those 4 that I?d like to see get a legit shot. The other 3 haven?t even been anything special in the minors and probably should?ve been converted to relief duty.

The Tigers have selected right-hander Reed Garrett from the Rangers with the No. 5 pick in the 2018 Rule 5 Draft.
Not in the top 30 of mlb pipeline.

The Tigers have selected outfielder Tyler Hill from the Red Sox in the Triple-A Phase of the 2018 Rule 5 Draft.
Not in the top 30 of mlb pipeline.

so these two have to be on the 25-man roster all year or they get sent back?

Tom I answered you before you deleted in team thread post.
but here as well...
I think now it costs $100,000. and player has to stay with the ML club all year, like Victor reyes last year.
If not he goes back to the team they got him from, if they don't want he goes on waiver wire, if not claimed he can come back and then go to the minors.

Not 100% sure, Rebbiv will know.

sorry...I posted it there by mistake, thinking it was this thread. I know you don't like outside posts in that thread.

Thanks!

Per source, #Tigers have traded Rule 5 selection Tyler Hill to the #Yankees.

Kinsler is washed up and this move is one of many reasons why the Padres never keep their heads above water.

McCann needed a new org.... needed new hitting tutors to advise him. His mechanics are fixable, but way-out of Legendary Loyd's arena of fixin'. I'm surprised McClendon was retained for 2019. Our young guys (for instance) Jones, Machado, Mahtook, Reyes, CandyMan....etc.... have no chance to improve their hitting skills with Lloyd here.

White Sox need to learn to only use McCann vs LHP. He can succeed in that role..
