there are a lot of shitty pitchers on that list!

It's going to be hard not to get the baseball package but then again it might be quite easy. Dang, this teams going to be bad.

One of the biggest questions next season will be how well (or not) Cabrera rebounds from his longest stint on the DL in his career. Will he be able to stay healthy for most, much less all of the season, and bat like he was prior to becoming injured? Will the Tigers use him primarily or entirely @ DH? Who plays @ 1B if so? Hicks? If him, then who will be backup @ catcher for apparently the weak-hitting, low power Greiner, now that McCann is a Sox?

Burning questions for a team that may very well be as bad if not even worse than the prior two were. Don't see who will replace Fiers' pre-trade pitching, or maybe even lefty Liriano's full season.

He isn't tradable, so I don't think it matters if he plays well or not.

We traded Prince. We might have had to pay some salary and get a contract back but they did it.

Blaine Hardy, who is 32 y.o. RP and was used as a SP in a pinch, actually looks like the Tigers best bet @ having an SP who could pass for being their #1. Everyone else who started was above 4.00 xFIP and ERA, if not 5.00+ and 1.30 to 1.70+ WHIP road...yikes!!

the odds are very long. Prince was 29 when he was traded, Miggy will be 36 in April.

Miggy could only be traded to a DH AL club, unless that was to change, however unlikely. Big market club like the Red Sox have JDMart, maybe the Yankees packaged with Boyd or Fulmer, but not if they still have Ellsbury to dump. Wouldn't want him here in trade of bad contracts. The Angels still have Pujols. Maybe the Astros would give us back Verlander if they won't extend him before hitting FA in '20? Or trade Miggy straight up for Albert, b/c then we would only have him for three more seasons, instead of six with Cabrera.

It's been fodder or 1 year deals. They obviously aren't going for the long term deals this season.. and big contracts. It's a rebuild.

They have to field teams in Detroit and Toledo. They are signing guys to one year deals to do this.

They could have picked up Minor League Free Agents to do that. Just saying. Either case, the point is you don't sign garbage ML Free Agents and still claim that you are rebuilding.

but they signed them to minor league contracts. Isn't that pretty much the same thing?

Should have signed Trevor Cahill who just signed with the Angels, 1 year 9m.
