Tigers and MLB 2018 offseason

I always look forward to the Tigers. Even when they are bad, I still enjoy following them and the minor league prospects. That's the difference between baseball and every other sport. Having a farm system gives fans of shitty teams something to follow.
 
I still can't believe Iggy is still out there. Would have rather seen him back instead of Mercer.
 
I am curious as to the money for Josh Harrison. Anything over $1 Mil would be a waste.
 
I checked his ranged it said 1st in '16 and 4th in '17. At 2B. This was from baseball reference.

He is in the bottom third in defense at 2B. He does not take a walk, meaning if he stops hitting for a stretch, there is no value.


DET has traded for or acquired 12 middle infielders over the last 3 years, only to sign two past their prime middle infielders. At what point in a rebuilding process do you try and find out what you have?

I thought we hired Gardy because he works well with the young kids.

Can I say I hate Avila's plan or lack of one. We are clearly in a rebuild position. Let the kids play!!!
 
'16-'17 seasons he had a 16DRS (defensive runs saved). Which is very good. Plus the good fielding %. Not sure what last year was like but he beats Goodrum hands down on defense.
 
DRS is a counting stat and not a rate state. It is a terrible stat to use for comparison. Bluf....Harrison is a bottom third defensive 2B who doesn't walk.

Mitch, I think he just did. How many more players do they need to sign as FA, trade for, and draft, that have OBP's around .300/.310?
Anything under .340.350 blows.

We we're talking about defense. Or at least I think we were..
