We already had Dirks, DY, AJ, Boesch, and Berry. I haven't seen anything from Garcia that the others don't already possess.

Oh, except that he's Miggy's buddy. They made a big deal about that. Who gives a rat's ass about that, though?

With the defense costing us at least 3-5 games and they way Jim and the coaching staff manage the bullpen you have to think that is another 5 games at least... So many games were mismanaged by Jim, and a bunch given away by our defense it really hurts..

Don't forget throwing Inge, Raburn, Santiago, Kelly and a bunch of other scrubs into the line-up way more than any sane man would've.

Our outfield defense besides Jackson is terrible.. Young has no spot on the club next year because we have Victor coming back.. Boesch and Dirks are nothing but 4th outfielders it appears. I have no clue if Garcia is better then the other guys.. Probably better then Boesch right now.. He is faster then all of them.. Apparently he may not be good on defense either because Jimbo had Fucking Kelly in as a defensive replacement yesterday over him but at 6'5 i bet he would have had a better chance to get that ball over Kelly..

They are alot like we are, built for the HR inconsistent Offense, only their defense is better. that made the difference Defense..

Well if you consider that of all those outfielders there is Jackson who is a top 3 CF in the league and Dirks who plays a good LF, of the rest of them defensively, young and Boesch are regularly brutal, Berry can run balls down, but will take poor routes too often and seems to have a weak arm, which was exploited in a recent series or two the past couple of weeks,
Garcia is a natural RF, with a cannon for an arm, We can't be expecting him to hit all that much and his plate discipline still needs some work, but in reality he is highly rated defensively and has good speed, as said by Baseball America, TigsTown, and Minor League ball. and is just 21. In fact with Castellanos at Erie with the promotion mid season, and then Garcia, Avisail played CF for the SeaWolves.

I guess Jim always plays some rightys verses LHS... I guess it is because Dirks has struggled recently and sometimes the hack BB gets some hits verses LHP.. Getting late we need a 3 spot.

He's held is own though, nobody expects him to do anything so he's prolly more relaxed the rest.
