Get StartedI guess Jim always plays some rightys verses LHS... I guess it is because Dirks has struggled recently and sometimes the hack BB gets some hits verses LHP.. Getting late we need a 3 spot.
Garcia should have been in RF over Kelly yesterday if that is the case then..
Yeah, well Jim's stated goal of "playing meaningful games in September" is weak as hell, too
What kind of manager says something like that with this line-up and pitching staff? SHouldn't the goal always be to win the AL central and/or play meaningful games in October?
Well I'm sure it's been said, though I'm not going to dig back thru 16 pages, but I'd like to point out:
Fuck Omar Infante.
Two games in a row the re-tread can't turn a double play and it costs us huge with our ground ball pitchers on the mound.

He's playing with the guys DD has given him. The team has a few stars but the supporting cast sucks! This isn't the NBA. You can't get a few great players and surround them with scrubs and expect to win the title.
I was in the car on the way home from work when it happened and Dickerson and Price were really killing Omar over and over. They were being professional of course but they wouldn't let it go.

The talent on the White Sox isn't any better than the talent on the Tigers. It's just been managed better.

He's blown this season singlehandedly. Several reasons have been pointed to that lands directly on him. That isn't even the point i was making, whether or not the Tigers should have won the division, which I think they should and most people I know think they should. The point I was making is that just saying that the goal is "playing meaningful games in September" is a cop-out. I don't want a manager that says shit like that.
They have better defense.
