Tigers vs. indians Game Thread Sept. 3

Man, we really needed Delmon to advance Prince this inning so we could have tried for a sac fly.

Peralta was dumb, and Avila didn't get a good swing on it, but Delmons AB is what hurts.
Blinded by hatred...

You're comparing a DH to a SS and a catcher. That's not fair, and up until recently Peralta and Avila were out performing Delmon.

Not to mention they both have taken plenty of shit this year, just not as much as Delmon.

You just can't lose this damn game after the weekend.... Jackson should have been running for Prince maybe... JP has to take on a 3-1 count..... And for how hot DY has been he was up their hacking way... He has to get Prince over to third...

we sweep the division leaders and then play like shit against the worst team in the AL. fucking inexcusable horseshit.

Yes but it was expected, it really shouldn't come as any surprise, it's been like this all year. why it would be any different now?

To be fair that was great play on the last out. If that gets through the game is likely tied.

It just kills me that we may not win the division because we couldn't beat the fucking Indians or Royals.

Not at all.

Leadoff double, he has to advance that runner in order to give us a chance to sacrifice him home.

I'm not blaming Delmon for the loss, just saying our best chance to tie was hinged on his AB, if he advanced Prince to 3rd, Boesch or Jhonny just have to swing under one and get it into the OF and it's a tie game.

Delmon had a chance to be the hero again tonight, he just didn't come through, that's not hatred, it's what happened.

Tigers are 8-7 in last 15 games. 7 losses coming by combined 8 runs.

DY and JP both had bad at bats in the ninth... Alex was out on a good play.... Runner would have score if either those two guys do their job....

I've said this B/F. Tigers find ways to play down to losing teams and play up to better teams. For some reason they can not get it together.

Peralta's at bat was the killer. If he walks that Avila grounder ties the game.

Yup and he swung on a 3-1 count on a ball way low, and the next pitch was a cutter way inside but was probably a better pitch then the 3-1 count pitch... DY was old DY in the ninth just hacking way...Prince may have been able to make it on the dribbler.... Jackson would have made it... But Jim has not taken out Prince before for a runner...

I'm not even letting Boesch off the hook. He's didn't advance the runner either, getting HBP is sad compensation when what we really needed was a hit.

We just never do the little things, it's the same reason 2009 killed us. When you don't pay attention to detail and have professional at bats in key moments this is what happens.

On oh we could sure use the BB at bat way back in the first again... He needs to at least get a sac-fly.... But with the sacks full we blow anyway...
