So if miggy wins the triple crown this year, is he a lock for mvp?

If he wins the triple crown he is a LOCK. I doubt he gets the HR title though.

Nothing is a lock if we miss the playoffs.
Leading a team to the post-season is one of the most important things to many of the voters.
Ted Williams and maybe another player who was a Triple Crown Winner and didn't win the MVP.
Yes, in 1934.Ted Williams and maybe another player who was a Triple Crown Winner and didn't win the MVP.

Yep, 1947 is still considered the biggest snub of all time?
Williams beat DiMaggio in nearly every category, and by a good deal in many.
1947
Joe Dimaggio- 97 R, 20 HR, 97 RBI, .315 Avg, 168 H, 31 2B, .391 OB
Ted Williams- 125 R, 32 HR, 114 RBI, .343 Avg, 181 H, 40 2B, .499 OB

If Miggy wins the triple crown will he also make Keith Law's top 5 mvp list then?

and also 1942 to Joe Gordon
The writers really give the first place clubs' best player alot more consideration.

We saw that in 2010 with Hamilton/Cabrera.
And it didn't matter that Hamilton missed 30+ games, his team went to the post season.
