Tigers vs. indians Game Thread Sept. 5

Kaline got snubbed in 1955 when Berra won the MVP. Obviously Trammell in 1987.

But the biggest snub of all time, IMO, was Tony Oliva in 1965, when he lost to Zoilo Versailles and his line of .273 19 HR and 77 RBI. Oliva went .321 16 98.

Al was screwed in 1963 too, finished 2nd to elston howard....
Both those years he won the Sporting News A.L. Player of the Year Award, which in those years was prestigious.

They should prorate homeruns based on what ball park you are hitting in, hrs in comerica should be worth 1.25.

Miggy hits it on the screws but at the lf'er,

oh boy nothing since the Miggy bomb,

Tigers need to settle down and work better at bats against Jiminez. If not, we're going to be hearing about how he was wildly effective after the Tigers lose the game 3-2.

Prince has gone 7 games w/out an rbi. That ties his longest drought of the season. He had a 7 game drought back in April.

So much for keeping our foot on Ubaldo's throat.

I don;t trust 2 runs to hold up.

And injury cut short what would have been the best season in his career in 1962.

GRRRR, that sucked, he made a game saving catch may 26th, and broke the collarbone,
he was leading the league in the triple crown, whether he won or not, he was a near lock for 40 homeruns,

Get Smyly up.

Need to be ready, can;t let this get away.

I still think Fister is hurt, but he battles, got to give him credit. I can't expect more than 5 innings from him tonight.
