Tigers vs. indians Game Thread Sept. 5

Nothing since the first... We need to score more runs badly!!!!!

Fister gets laportly to ground out and end the inning, 67 pitches,

Tigers lead 2 - 1.

We need to start stringing together some hits.

Only 3 hits off UbaldAss so far.

Tigers need to settle down and work better at bats against Jiminez. If not, we're going to be hearing about how he was wildly effective after the Tigers lose the game 3-2.

This is the problem with too many of their players,

heh, how Awesome would it be if BOTH Boston and NYY missed the playoffs this year?

BAL and TB could make it happen.

Prince 2 pitches,

Delmon 1 pitch,

Boesch 2 pitches,

fongoola,

Nice play but the Tiger at bats were not playoff caliber at bats... What 5 pitches give or take? Tiger hitters sure know how to grind it out..

No doubt. And the problem seems orgniazational. Look at the recent position players that have come up. None of them can take a walk (Avila the exception) and they don't develop any plate discipline. That was 5 pitch inning for Jiminez. Next year hopefully management reassesses its free swinging ways.

It would be even better if it were Oakland and TB that made with their low payrolls. Baltimore's payroll is low as well.
