Tigers vs. indians Game Thread September 26

It will be tough but I gotta root for the Angels tonight. Beating the Rangers for hfa I think will be key if the Tigers want to make a run.

It will take at least 2 or 3 wins for the Tigers vs. the Indians. I think the Rangers will have their hands full with the Angles. The Tigers need HFA.

Really? Why do they NEED home field advantage? It would be a nice luxury to have, but I don't think it is critical. I like Verlander & Fister pitching in Game 1&2 regardless of location

Tigers 2nd inning,

Cabrera strike call, line drive single to right,

Martinez strike call, grounds to first a double play,

Avila takes a high strike, curve in the dirt, swings and misses high fastball, takes inside, changeup fouled back, curve low full count, fastball outside walk,

Raburn fastball on/off the corner strike call, curve outside, lined to the rightfield corner bounces around and Avila running all the way slides in safe ahead of the relay Raburn with a rbi triple,

Tigers lead 1 - 0,

Santiago 1 and 1, grounder to second,

indians pitcher with 27 pitches,

Tigers lead 1 - 0.

Just as long as the rangers score 5 off FF weaver and then the angles come back.

Fister 3rd inning,

laportly fly to shallow center and Dirks has it,

carreera ground ball back to Fister and he throws to Cabrera,

ffmarson strikes out swinging, nice downward movement on the 2 seam,

Fister with 39 pitches,

Tigers lead 1 - 0.

Since arriving in Detroit, Fister's numbers have to be pretty similar to JV's during the same stretch. Unfortunately I am too lazy to look it up.

Yes, attaboy AA. I am so glad the Tigers got Fister and not this hasbeen.

Cabrera fastball low, fastball inside, fastball on/off the corner, line drive rbi single to left center and Rhymes scores and Young to third,

Tigers lead 2 - 0,

Martinez takes a curve strike, changeup outside, curve low, changeup high, another high walk bases loaded,

Would suck to be an Indians fan watching them go head to head a couple times late in the year. Fister is not only having a much better year than Ubaldo, but he looks like he's just flat out a better pitcher with a better future and we gave up very little for Fister in comparison to what they gave up for Ubaldo.
