Tigers vs. mariners Game Thread September 17

The real problem is Ichiro was a left handed slap hitter who was halfway out of the box before he made contact with the ball.

There is really no comparison to be made between him and Iggy.

Which makes it even more absurd to believe a right hander is capable of being better at it.

Goddamnit. Damned if we do, damned if we dont. Sanchez probably should have been pulled, but al al or coke probably wouldve allowed the runs anyways. Stupid short bullpen.

All 74 at bats he had before this season is a good sample size. Of course he's had a lot of bunt hits this year, that's the point. He's not as fast as either Gardner or Ichiro, and has nowhere near the bat control, yet you think this is a repeatable statistic from iggy. He had just 2 infield hits before this year.

It's the bunts that are important....not the other infield hits.

Man I really hate Shannon Hogan. I'd love to buy her a huge glass of shut the fuck up and get off my tv.

Been saying that since early last year, an obnoxious hose bag. and I'm being generous.

Well, that's what happens when crappola pitchers shut ya down with only 2 through 6

Better at what? all you demonstrated was the % of all hits that were IF hits.

You're looking at it from a weird angle rather than head on.

Better at beating out ground balls, whether it be bunts or slow rollers to shortstop.

In his career, 23.3% of Ichiro's hits have been infield hits. So far this season, 34.3% of Jose Iglesias' hits have been infield hits. If you guys think it's going to continue, then the jokes on you. BTW, Ichiro is the best infield hitter since they started tracking the stat.

You know.....we've talked already....and I don't give a rats ass how he gets his hits, infield or outfield,
let him get on base and he can score.
