Tigers vs. rangers ALCS Game 4 Thread Oct. 12

We were out coached in 2006 also...It is frustrating. Better coaching wins this game... As much as I hate La Russa he probably wins this game

Pinch hit for Delmon with Cabby on 3rd.
Dont send Cabby
Dont walk Beltre
Dont let Jose pitch to Cruz

4 ridiculous and awful decisions by our coaches.

Come on, if they didn't send Cabby, people on here would of been complaining about that.

Delmon did his job, it was a just a great throw, with a slow runner.

The ball was not deep enough... No way he scores... Not at all..

Christ, you guys act like it's a foregone conclusion the game and series are over. Even if we go down 3-1, we've got JV, Max and Fister going in the rest of the series.
BECAUSE WE FUCKING DO THE SAME SHIT EVERY GAME. big guys come up small at clutch times, poor management all around, why would you send jackson? why would you send cabrera but not santiago? so so so so stupid. this is why you dont reward people for midseason achievements. i dont mind the DD extension but everyone knows damn well that leyland is either smart or incredibly stupid

I am not giving up but our bats need to wake up.... We are not hitting. They are..
Agreed. Those three are capable of shutting teams down, so if we can get some offense we've got a shot. Not where we wanted to be, but it ain't over yet.

You don't send a 280 lb fatass as slow as molasses against a RFer with possibly the best arm in the game.. It wasn't even that deep of a flyball.. This is fucking common sense..

Not even a pinch runner scores.... Ball was medium depth..

Bottom line, if the Tigs lose this series, Victor Martinez, Alex Avila, Jhonny Peralta, Austin Jackson, Delmon Young and even to an extent, Miguel Cabrera lost it for them.
You are absolutely right, this fucking team hasn't hit at all. They were lucky to beat New York with no bats and now they think they can get away with it 2 series' in a row. .300 hitters throughout the lineup and this is what they do come playoff time? Unreal. This is a fucking choke job. They wiped their asses with these guys during the regular season. This is unbelievable

Sorry but the offense just isn't there and too many guys are banged up, this series is over..

Still happy they finally managed to win the damn div at least and hey we completely suck right now but we still beat the Yankees!

onto the Lions

This series is going seven. Book it.

How can this team come out with any fight tomorrow when their manager completely fucked them out of a game tonight?

If the throw is a little bit off line, he scores. You challenge him to make a good throw, he made one. You know this board would bitch, if he stayed and the next guy struck out.

They would be on here saying you have to take a chance even with Cabby running. You have to challenge him to make a good throw.

The coaches screwed the pooch like Gus Grissom.

For sending Cabrera in the 8th. For pitching Valverde in the 11th. For walking Beltre in the 11th, to face the two best hitters in the Rangers' lineup in succession.

And for stealing Jackson on pitch one after he was hit. Total, inexcusable succession of baffling decisions.

I am stunned at the incompetence.

Except Cruz has the best arm in the game, and Miggy was out by a country mile.. Not to mention he had an awful jump as well.. Even if off the line the play would have been close and possibly and out.. Sorry, but you are wrong.. It was a fucking horrible move..

i say we lose tomorrow. JV might pitch his heart out, but we cant fucking score runs and they will somehow, either off JV who hasnt been sharp for several weeks or off our bullpen.

and honestly? i wish we HADNT won the division, because that would have meant leyland's retarded ass would have been fired after the season. now we're not only stuck with him and his moronic coaches, but likely stuck with a bunch of part-time and 1-dimensional players that we cant or wont get rid of (raburn, inge, young, kelly, jackson, etc). its infuriating and embarrassing to have this high a payroll (relatively) and this much talent overall to be playing this badly in the playoffs.

Well here's hoping Mr Ilitch makes another impact move if we lose in the postseason like he did in 2006. He is hungry for that WS championship so if we lose this series because of our offense I can only suspect he will add at least 1 impact bat to our lineup this offseason.

So its the coaches fault cabby got a bad jump...makes sense.

Ugly, sure looks like the Rangers will get another shot at winning the World Series immediately following the season prior. Something that the Tigers never have managed to do in my lifetime. Tigers now MUST win all 3 remaining.

Boy Jim and his staff had a really bad night..

Did scouting dept. getback to Jose to remind him that Josh likes to hack at the firat pitch..
