Tigers vs. redsox Game Thread July 31

You know, Weaver is in fact leading the Cy Young IMO, but he is so babied and protected, he gets pulled at the 1st sign of trouble in the 7th after 97 pitches. JV is the Ace he's the horse and he gets left out there no matter what, because that's what you do with your Ace. But, the voters will only see his ERA and WHIP and W-L. If Weaver was close to the horse that Verlander was, no way would his numbers be what they are, he's protected, the same way Stephen Strasburg gets pulled at the 1st sign of trouble too, in order to save their stats and their fragile confidence.

Except for Cabrera, Fielder, Jackson, the rest of them aspire to be like that, taking pitches, but can't change old hacking habits.
disgusting road trip, wtf is up with infante,
I have my twitter account, same sn and follow these guys, and up until the last month never got a response to my tweets/vents...lol. must have something to do with the profile update and the link to the message board.

Kewl and yes completely agree, Berry as well hasn't been horrible in that regard but after the 4 spot nothing reliably disciplined until you get to Alex, the plate discipline of Young, BB (along with his nothing behind it swing this year), JP and now the latest new back-hole at 2nd is going to cost us a post season appearance this year I'm afraid.. Looking forward to getting our DH back next year. sorely missed.

You reminded me of Berry from the first inning, he didn't help JV either letting the ball drop in front of him, he could have made the play.
Do you have twitter?

The only time I've been disappointed in Berry for the most part was the other day when he swung at a high pitch 2-0 with Miggy on deck and men on base. I didn't think he coulda come up with that opening Elisbury cheap fisted single. Don't do the Twitter thang. I've already got enough usernames and passwords to remember from dozens of other things. LOL

Jackface AJ P.. Just hit a 2 run homer for the Sox... Damn it all to hell..

Looks like at least another hour min before any chance anything will clear out, moving really slow. 5th highest payroll? Pitts 5th from the bottom, Oak darn near the lowest am I seeing this right?

Only have ourselves to blame. They would have left those runners. This team doesn't deserve postseason.

they called the game. we lose. time to go burn down fenway and kill some ****ing pathetic umpires.

Sooooo we aren't even allowed the opportunity to come back. Can't resume a suspended game before tomorrow's game? Umpires are a joke...they get worse by the minute...and that spine-less snake Selig just lets it keep going on.

And I'm glad Burnett got screwed on a strike call and lost his no-hitter...**** that piece of shit too...

per mowrey on twitter:

Leyland on FSD: "To call the game at this point, I think was the right call. Could we have got the inning in? Who knows? Like I said, that's a tough situation for an umpire but they definitely made the right call to call it now."

Someone needs to punch this senile ****er in the face. STAND UP FOR YOUR TEAM, JACKASS. The ONLY way that calling the game at this point makes sense is if you have no ****ing brain, or if you're a Red Sox fan (a lot of overlap there). They start at 7pm tomorrow, why not resume at 1pm? Calling the game there is ****ing wrong, and Leyland is a ****ing moron for agreeing with it.
