To everyone who says Ebron can be like Graham

Ravens called him elite. They were praying he would drop. Lions stole him.

Wasn't a debacle. I wasn't on board with the Ebron pick, but i understand it. And the rest of the draft was pretty solid.
You guys are a trip. Just because they didn't go after players that YOU wanted, that doesn't mean it's a failure.
Offense is going to be scary and the defense looks better already.

They needed to address D back field. No quality or depth. They're gonna need to score 45 points a game.

They weren't reaching for any of the Safeties and they weren't taking Dennard. No depth? They have a plethora of young guys at corner mixed in with some vets. It should work out. And taking a kid like Van Noy helps out the defense.

I didn't think Dennard was a reach whatsoever. Watching that guy at MSU shut down everyone who faced him was frustrating as hell as a Michigan fan. He's going to be a great, solid CB, something the Lions haven't had in forever.

Offense should have been scary with bush calvin Stafford....but it wasn't. Defense looks the same.

I'll take Van Noy. He should be solid for many years. Too many unproven guys does not equal depth. It will be very apparent early.

Comes on hughes, you know there were injuries... and bad luck... and Stafford was only responsible for 1 of his turnovers... and the other teams didn't have injuries or bad luck... this coaching staff is the next great hope... etc...

This. I think Dennard will be the best CB taken in this draft.

In 3 years, when someone does a 2014 draft re-draft......Dennard will be a top 5 pick.

It would have been too logical of a pick for Detroit to make. Guy will be a stud in a short amount of time, and will immediately be able to lock down one side of the field. Hometown kid, we've all seen him play a bunch. Same reason Joe didn't draft Trey Burke. Gotta be the smartest guy in the room and prove everyone wrong all the time instead of making the smart pick.

I agree. They are trying to emulate the Saints offense. It will be interesting to see how it all shakes out, especially if Stafford plays at the level LKP thinks he is at.

I don't agree that he was the "smart" pick. Nobody had him as a top ten talent, the same could not be said about ebron. Dennard is a good technician and a smart player. But his lack of size and athleticism worries me. He wouldn't be going against big ten passing offenses anymore. Even in a weak corner draft he was picked 24th. You don't reach that far with a top ten pick.

I gotta be honest, we must have watched two different videos. I saw a corner who played physical and made big plays.

You can talk about the weak passing big ten, I can refer you to the fact that other than Miami, and Duke (lol), UNC did not play dick in their conference. Ebron racking up his stats against those teams doesn't do a lot for me.

The pick was a luxury pick. There's been like 4 TEs taken in the top 10 in 25 years. There are glaring needs on the defensive side of the ball. Ebron better be a big impact now, since the Lions are all about winning now.

Dennard is going to be an excellent NFL player. He is technically very sound and a very smart player. May not be gifted as Gilbert but much better fundamentally. I'll take the technician over the athlete virtually every time. C.Houston is a great example of a player that's gifted athletically but is challenged technically.

He was grabbing jerseys and using his arm to block people off. And not being very subtle about it. That gets called every time in this league. I understand that it is good to be physical. But he won't be able to just grab a jersey every time someone is faster than him. Which is what he seems to do. I suppose it could work with safety help so he doesn't get beat deep.

A highlight package of 6 minutes does not show what kind of player he is. I watched every one of MSU's games. The guy simply did not get beat. He plays hard, he plays smart, he plays tough. He had the ability to shut down his side of the field. He's going to be a great CB in this league, one of those guys you can draft and can rely on for a long time. No clue what Ebron's going to do, him ripping up the ACC doesn't wow me, and the team's got enough talent on the offensive side of the ball, especially after resigning their main TE to a long deal.

People talk about Ebron dropping, Dennard and Ha- Ha both dropped like rocks. In fact there was a CB and Safety taken before each of them in Fuller and Pryor.

Your opinion on Dennard is your opinion. I cant change that. But your reasoning is flawed. Big 10 CB's can be good. Doesn't matter what conference you come from. Charles Woodson was pretty good. Revis played in the Big East.....which sucked. Sherman played in the PAC 10!!!

Also, where you're picked means nothing once you're on a team. How is it that Sherman is good, then? 5th round pick. Brandon Carr?? He breaks BOTH your reasons. Played at Grand Valley and was drafted in the 5th. (Though Calvin showed why he was a 5th last year)
