To everyone who says Ebron can be like Graham

Don't blame the drop rate on Matt Stafford's inaccuracy. The guy had these issues at Georgia, this is not something new. If Calvin Johnson was replaced with a WR of average to decent talent, his numbers would be MUCH worse. I cannot count how many times Calvin has bailed this dude out when Stafford launches the ball 90 feet over his head.

"Negatives: Can get fundamentally lazy... ... Though he has an efficient overall release, should be able to speed it up for underneath screens passes to take better advantage of the surprise to the defense. ... Sloppy footwork. ... Will get lazy and throw off his back foot, which could lead to turnovers in the NFL... ... Willing to throw into tight spots, though more often than not he places the ball where it needs to be... ... Not great accuracy on crossing routes. ... Too often leads his receivers too far or forces them to reach back, slowing their momentum and limiting their ability to generate yardage after the catch."

Thats depressing. Sad you can use the exact same report for him as a college player and as a pro with 5 years in the league.

Just show's the lack of development of the previous coaching staff.

And shows how crazy people must be to think that a new regime and new playbook will change him under a new CBA which forces veterans to leave early for nearly the next month effectively giving said new regime approximately 2 months to fix whatever the fuck it was that we watched last year. lol...riiiiight.

How pissed is everyone gonna be when Savage takes the Texans to the playoffs before Stafford!

Baaaaaaaaaahahahahahaaaaaa!! Keep up the glue sniffing on that one, bud. The Lions have already been to the playoffs with Staff....nice try.

And Andre Johnson isn't on board with Savage btw.....a developmental QB.

You mean we got to the playoffs? Shit, wtf..maybe one day we'll win one. I'm not sure I even count the one in '91 since we got blasted right after.

At least we got there. And it was led by a Stafford led team. Seems a lot of guys put it all on the QB on this board, so why not this one? lol

I was thrilled. Playoffs what we needed but now that we got there next step, playoff win.

I meant moving forward. Of course Johnson is going to say that. He won't be saying that when he is the starter. I think our team got better but the defensive back field is worse

Of course Johnson is going to say that? Ummmmmm no, that doesn't always happen, bro. He's pissed that they didn't go after one of the top flight QB's. Not a good endorsement on AJ's part...lol. You guys love to rip on Stafford on this board. In my eyes, Savage is a clone of Stafford. Big arm, lots of talent, accuracy issues, so expect the good with the bad...

And how did our secondary get worse when we added a few pieces to it? Makes ZERO sense...

Because we didnt add the pieces they wanted. Come on Tony. They know better than Mayhew and the scouting department combined

Yeah, when you read into the comments, it actually makes the pick sound less appealing. They figured that if he got out of the top 10, he would likely slide all the way to 17. If he was that damn important to the Ravens, they would have made an effort to trade up and get him. Hearing a team say they are very confident he would have fallen doesn't make you do cartwheels about it.

exactly. you said it way better.
we should have shored up that d backfield. another debacle of a draft but I expected it.

Wasn't a debacle. I wasn't on board with the Ebron pick, but i understand it. And the rest of the draft was pretty solid.
You guys are a trip. Just because they didn't go after players that YOU wanted, that doesn't mean it's a failure.
Offense is going to be scary and the defense looks better already.

It's all hearsay. Ebron was picked to go between #9-#15 in most mocks. Nobody has a fn clue where he was dropping. You can't believe that shit....cmon. lol

For the Ravens to come out and say that now, it is worth a look. I just read between the lines with the comment and it doesn't make it sound like he was a great steal if he was going to fall that far. You are right, who knows. I still hate the pick, but hopefully it will pan out.
