Get StartedIt's per drive is the stat to use. Stafford has more attempts because he IS the Lions offense. Flacco was along for the ride but then had a great playoff run. Good timing, and huge contract.
And the two games they went to shit, Stafford did his job for the most part. It wasn't just Calvin. It was Calvin and one other big weapon. Weapons are important too. Those 2 games, the run game went to shit with Fox at Right Tackle (not Staffords fault) and the WRs got no separation but Stafford was putting the ball where it needed to be.
You harp on comp %. Stafford was 62.5% at GB and 66.7% at Minnesota. And no picks either game. Stafford did his job. 89 rating and 95 rating in those games WITHOUT Calvin.
Yards per drive matters because drives are around equal. Not Staffords fault, the Ravens don't trust Flacco to throw the ball much. Or that Flacco fails early on 3rd downs and has less attempts because of that.
I pointed out Stafford had good QB ratings without Calvin. Stafford is not Flacco because Stafford is a QB who can lead an offense and Flacco is a game manager. Therefore, Stafford>>>Flacco.
The stats and playoff success disagree with your Honolulu Blue and Silver "homer" opinion.
It does if there is less separation. Having multiple weapons matters. Boldin, Pitta out. Rice hurt. Bad Oline. No coach can fix that. I think Stafford is way better than Flacco anyway too.
So there's no separation, so let's throw an INT. :yay:
How about he takes a 4 yard sack or throw it out of bounds..? Novel concept, eh.
"Matt Stafford who can make any pass, once".
If that were the case we would be bitching about the Oline taking 60 sacks and the Lions offense being much worse actually (not moving the chains as well).
I'll take an offense that moves the ball well even with a bad number 2 and number 3 with the occasional pick over an offense that punts all the time because Stafford is afraid to make a throw to a shitty WR. I'd say only 10 picks were Staffords fault too.
haha...of course you would! You are such a homer!!!

Lions have a good offense. The tape doesn't lie. And alot of the stats too.
Sure we do. Then why bring in all the help if "Linos have good offense".
Good to elite and more complete is better. Stafford carried us, now let's make life easy for him.

where did he carry them? To a 4-12 record? To a 7-9 record? To mediocrity! Flacco carried his slightly above average team to a SB victory...Stafford throws TD's to the wrong team because he has a 10 cent head.
4 of his 19 picks were read errors. Stafford is smart and has a ton of football knowledge and can read defenses well.
3 of his picks went the other way for TDs
Two were bad throws not reads, one Calvin got jammed somehow against Hall. None of them were read issues.
