Training Camp News

Nah, just remembering a forum discussion awhile back when a similar thing was discussed and the whole idea that the Lions are super injured was basically put to bed.

Excuses. Excuses. That's all you got. I pray that this team stays full healthy and you will have nothing left to lean on if they miss the playoffs.

It's a valid reason. And the Lions overcame the injuries in 2014. 11-5. Then the refs messed up a potential playoff run.

Pay attention to who is on the field next time.

When they are normal health, they make the playoffs. I have been proven right already with 2014. Hope for a good help and this team can make a playoff run. This roster is loaded with talent.

No it's not. It's something that every team deals with. So it's not a valid reason, just another of the long list of excuses you've had.

That list shows not every team deals with it. Are you blind? Did you not see Green Bay was extremely healthy in 2014.

You know who was lower on that list? Seattle. How'd they do?

When you are in the middle of anything statistically, it cannot be used as a crutch to justify why you didn't succeed more. If they were at the bottom and were ravaged with injuries, fine. But they weren't. They were fine.

Depends who get hurt too. Packers had good health in numbers and in who got hurt. Seattle had lesser important injuries but not many defensive and Lynch injury issues. That is how they win games.

Injuries can affect play and win totals. It's a fact. Not an opinion. And it can affect other teams more than others. Also a fact.

Unger (10), Zach Miller(13) and Mebane(7) were the big injuries. They just traded Unger.

Wagner 4, Chancellor 2 and Maxwell 3. Big deal compared to Fairley 8 and Tulloch 12.5 and the top two nickels for 14 games for Detroit. Ihedgibo 3

If Sherman, Thomas and Chancellor get major injuries like Delmas (knee and couldn't practice), Quin( bad ankle all year) and Houston (hamstring and toe) had in 2013. Then get back to me.

Get back to me on trying to sell Delmas and Houston being big injuries.

they were the top CB and second best safety. They play well when healthy.

Top 5 pass defense in 2011 before injuries crushed Detroit.

Lions 15th

Indy 31st (won division)
GB 30th (won division)
NE 29th (won division)
SD 28th (made playoffs)
N.O. 26th (Made playoffs)

Those 5 teams had 5 of the 7 worst games missed and all still either won their division or made it to the playoffs. 4 of those teams won at least one playoff game. You know what the difference was. The Lions had Stafford and those teams had great QBs....Luck, Brady, AR, Rivers & Brees. Great QB play can overcome injuries!

GB only won 8 games. That is not a team you should point out. AFC South is junk. Depends who got hurt for NE, San Diego and New Orleans.

you have to point them out. They were the 3rd most injured team and still managed to win the division over the Lions because Stafford shit the bed down the stretch!

Freeney and Floyd mattered. Every other injuriy didn't. And SD played AFC South and NFC East 2013. Pure junk.

Lions were very injured too causing 9 losses. Green Bay only won 8 games and went 6-2 with a healthy Rodgers.

Green Bay proves my point. A double digit win team became an 8 win team with injuries.

And guys like Glover Quin and Delmas had injuries but didn't count on that list by the way in 2013.

Lions 15th, GB 30th.

GB playoffs
Lions went golfing

GB 6-2 with Rodgers. Lions many more important injuries that didn't count too. Like Quin, Delmas, Houston etc.

Lions added depth and went 11-5 in a tougher 2014. Lions even better for 2015. No more golf anymore.

Ah yes, the year when GB lost arguably the best player in football and still did just enough to get in the playoffs down the stretch. Meanwhile the golden boy in Detroit had pathetic games against the Giants and Ravens on the biggest stage.

Many of those picks weren't his fault in those 2 games. Lions also had many injuries in those games. Houston, Slay, Mathis out against Giants and Quin playing hurt.

Stafford led a GW drive against Ravens and then Tucker kicked a miracle after a big kickoff return and 20 yard gain.

Oh yea...the Ravens game. 18-34, 234 yards, 1 TD, 3 INTs... #Awesomegame!

I love how you guys have to bitch about 2013 though when the Lions just went 11-5. I won this.
