2015 Cap

true...but Bell is not an every down back. That is why I said D so far. They can still address holes including RB

What world do you live in. Bell is clearly an every down back. Can run, pass block and catch the ball well.

Tyron Walker cheap. Made up for it there. Walker could be better than Fairley.

Lions will have a ton of cap space next year. Got important guys back this year and got two good DTs. They still could get Blalock with a restructure. No big deal with how much space we'll have next year now.

Good offseason. Solid A.

No starting DT signed for 2016, sound fimiliar?
They better sign Levy before the start of the season and pick up Reiff option, can't grade them yet

A so far. A+++ if they extend Levy, Ngata and pick up Reiff's option.

he can do those things but none of them well. He is a below average RB. They need an upgrade there.

I think Joique Bell is an everydown back. He is a poor mans LeVeon Bell. Not quite the explosiveness, but Joique does everything pretty well. He just isn't going to break a 70 yarder.

Joique would be probably the 20th or so best starter in the NFL......so certainly not a top flight RB....but the Lions could do much worse.

He can do all those things well. He's a solid RB. Average to above average. Give him some holes, he gets good YAC.

VERY poor man's LeVeon Bell. I think he is closer to 30 than 20.

I'm not sure what Bell's Madden rating is......but I would give him an 83 or 84. Catches the ball well, runs solid routes, solid pass blocker. Can make a guy miss and usually falls forward.

Solid to good NFL RB......IMO

Falls forward....having flashbacks to Kevin Smith.

Hes fine....but the good backs you dont talk about which way they fall. You talk about how they dont fall lol. Hes weak as a pass threat. Catching alot of passes doesnt make you a threat. Sure hes solid at catching a ball but by no means is anyone gameplanning to stop joique bell in the pass game.

Wait I thought Stafford sucks because he has no run game? Did I miss an episode? What a plot twist.

No run game not because of Bell but because of no blocking. This was due to Oline injuries and Raiola/Sims not being the best run blockers or even average really. The 3 returning starters are good at run blocking (Reiff, Warford and Waddle) and Swanson should be an upgrade over Raiola at center. We just need a LG.

Blalock or draft one.

If they don't think Riddick can run between the tackles though, we'll get a RB too.

Not sure Blalock is the answer. Same age as Sims. Sims was actually decent in the second half of the year I thought. Just started out rough.

Really don't know much about Blalock though.

big, fat and weak pass blocking. just another excuse for Stafford when he fails.

You realize you basically just admitted Stafford sucks, right?

No I didn't. He had no run game or protection and plenty of TE/Calvin injuries to deal with. Also won 11 games. The Oline couldn't run block due to injuries and Sims/Raiola and had troulbe pass protecting (Sims, Raiola, backup RTs, Swanson at RG).

The game tape shows Stafford was good.

Stafford didn't win 11 games. The defense got much better, otherwise they were a 4-6 win team.

Stafford did good things in every game. Enough to get us 11 wins. Stafford plus defense =11 wins. We'll have a good defense again this year. Expect 11 wins again. With Oline/run game improvement, expect more than 11.

It's very likely that the defense will take a step back next year. The D-line was great last year and will be worse next year. The run D will be worse and in turn will make the pass defense worse. My guess is they will still be a good defense but not top 10.
