2016 Draft- Who ya got?

He is? I must have missed that.

Well, they did have one of the best RBs in the history of the game. And come on man, Red Rifle.

It happens now and then. Plus, before this season everyone was saying Dalton was at or below Matt's level.

Couple years ago people were also convinced that Newton couldn't hold Stafford's jock.

And Newton's been a joke for years. Now all you clowns have his nuts resting on your chins. You're all full of shit....

Not this year, but he's been better his whole career so far. Newton has been a joke of a QB for the last few years up until this year.

I was in piling on mode with that comment (about holding his jock). To be perfectly honest I have always had Stafford and Cam in that same "tier" of QBs...right in the middle of the pack, giving Cam the slight edge because of his running ability. But what he is doing this year...with the offensive players he has at his disposal...unbelievable!

It's just that I never felt that Cam has been a professional his whole career. He's always been a whiner and a sulker. Look at the way this kid acts when they lose a football game or things are going South for them. He was never a leader and he seemed to be all about himself. Now the Panthers are 13-0 and everyone is lovin Cam lol. Winning cures everything I guess....

But I'm starting to like either Tunsil or Stanley to anchor that LT spot.

What fell faster? Nkemdiche...or his draft position?

Too soon???

That's LKP right there. Though he says it in a more twisted psychotic way.

Wtf happened to that guy?

Some of the radio guys I was listening to the other night said that in addition to the weed the found in the room, there are rumors Robert was smoking spice too. That's what his brother, Denzel, was on when he just wound up hospitalized and out of the lineup.

Newton's been a joke for years eh? Has a better career QBR than your guy. Whoops. Must mean our guy is a punch line.

Wtf happened to that guy?

He seemed messed up in the head even before he swan dived. Some of the things he says just seem...off.

IMHO, the best thing he can do is actually stay in school for his senior year and show everyone that he has straightened himself out. This incident would be a red flag that drops him off several teams boards altogether, others completely off their R1 board at a minimum.

Granted Mayhew would have moved him up on his chart. LOL

Some team will probably still draft him in R1. IF that team is the Lions...ugh. I know they need help at that position, but I'd rather they drop Ngata and use that money for 1 or 2 DTs, not to mention an upgrade at MLB. Can improve more than 1 position with that $$$.

It's passer rating that matters. The QBR, the relatively new one, stinks. And inaccurate.

While I don't fully understand the new QBR it attempts to take into consideration more factors than the traditional QB rating. Things like when the passes are thrown, sacks, RAC, etc. I don't know if they take into consideration running...but I don't think they do.

My guess...it is probably a better indicator of what a QB is actually doing to help his team win but I really don't know. I haven't been able to really look at it in detail.

As far as traditional QB rating over their careers.

Cam 87.4
Staff 84.6

Pretty close with a slight edge to Cam

Rushing is why Cam is a better QB IMO

Cam (75 games) 3051 yards, 5.3 YPC, 40 TDs
Stafford (90 games) 624 yards, 3.3 YPC, 12 TDs

That's why it's bad, imo. Sacks are graded heavily against the QB, even when sack has nothing to do with the QB's. We'll all seen QB's get sacked when they didn't have a chance. They shouldn't be a huge negative on you. Because they just assume all sacks were the fault of the QB's. That one stat makes the QBR dumb.

As far as the rest, I don't understand it fully either.

As for Matt doesn't matter much, 19th in passer rating, 22nd in QBR.

Sorry, meant passer rating. Cam Newton's passer rating is higher than our boy.
