Add your mock here..and ONLY your mock

don't care much for Dan'O and don't particularly like this potential move, but it does make sense... he was one of the QBs under Caldwell in Indy, so he's got that familiarity with the coach.

i still don't think it takes a late round QB off the board completely though.

"makes sense" is a very strong word....they won 2 games lol.

Does it really matter which veteran they bring in?

Let's face it, the minute that guy has to take his hat off and put a helmet on, we're in deep shit no matter who it is.

The big benefit Dan brings to the Lions is his willingness to sack himself to preserve his health so we never have to worry about seeing the 3rd string guy come in and play even worse.

walterfootball 4-1 mock draft

Detroit Lions: Jared Lorenzen, QB, Kentucky
No one expected the Lions to draft a quarterback in the first round, especially with Matthew Stafford on the roster, but Jared "Hefty Lefty" Lorenzen will apparently help Stafford.

"I've tried everything to fix Matthew's mechanics, but he's just unwilling to learn," said Jim Caldwell, who usually has his mouth taped shut so he doesn't have to say anything. "Matthew is just lazy, so we're bringing in Jared to fix that."

The Lions apparently believe that Stafford's lethargy stems from his weight, so they want him to get into shape. Lorenzen will assist that process by devouring all of Stafford's sweets.

"Hey, where did my Kit-Kat stash go!?" Stafford suddenly shouted. "I had it hidden in my secret locker compartment, but it's all gone!"

Lorenzen, who had chocolate all over his face, simply shrugged his shoulders.

Manziel at 10!?@?@@@!!!!!

Mayhew press conference:

Mayhew: We'd like to welcome johnny football to the Detroit lions organization.

Reporter: Why did you think it was important to bring in another qb with such a high draft pick?

Mayhew: Ummm...his name is johnny football. We play football. It was a no brainer.

Reporter: *sticks a gun to his head and shoots himself*

Recent history says that's not true. Sometimes a backup can help or at least not stink it up. The problem with End Zone Dan is you know what he gives you why not just get a number 2 that has a possibility of not walking out of the end zone..

A necessary addition for anyone who doesn't know who Jared Lorenzen is.

Quoted the post that said in the mock clowney dropped to 6. I would be ok trading out 1 and 3 to move up to six and get him

probably would take more than a 3rd. But hate to burst your bubble.....clowney falling to 6 is a DREAM scenario for the falcons. Hes their guy. We'd have to trade up before their pick to have a shot at him.

I think that if Clowney got past #3 the Browns would trade out of #4 and get a great deal. I don't think the Lions could get up that far with their 1st and 2nd.

how about commenting on the draft itself and not the thread like a tool?

how about you comment in one of the already created mock draft threads instead of creating an entirely new one just because you crave the attention?
