Its not as much that we suck at it, its more that our DB's suck at covering so we need as many bodies back there as we can get, plus cause we can't cover there is less guys to rally when the QB completes the quick pass.

thank you....don't know how many times I have to say it. Hurries would be relevant if we were actually a good pass defending team. But we suck vs the pass....therefor a "hurry" just means we weren't fast enough to get there prior to the opposing qb torching us. Id rather have the sack if that's the case....

Bullshit!! Go look up the numbers opposing QBs put up against us. Dalton is the only one who murdered us and looked All Pro. I'll agree that some of those QBs put up good yardage but thats about it. That has a lot to do with DLine causing havoc, but thats not enough because Houston is pure dog shit and our other corners have struggled a bit, but not like Houston, he needs to go.

I know the sacks arent there but the DLine is somewhat responsible for turnovers and picks IMO. You guys said it yourself, our secondary is a joke so the DLine must be doing some things right in the passing game.

And thats what i just said. Everyone loves to point their fingers at the DLine and its not their fault. If we even had a decent secondary, this wouldnt even be an issue. Sacks are great, i love it, you need them and im not disputing it but when your secondary cant cover a 13 year old you're going to get burned a lot. Our DLine is doing their jobs but yes, they need to finish...especially with our secondary.

I hope but if they gave up big plays through 8 games I can't suddenly believe they will stop giving up big plays. Our secondary is inconsistent so big plays happen.

One per game is ok since they are good at stopping long drives. Forte big run, Morris big run, Benjamin big reverse, Peterson big run to open season, 2 Cowboys long TDs and Sean Lee pick to deep in Lions territory were overcome. And the Cards/Bengals would have been done too if not for blocked FGs and shanked punts. Green Bay, we need Megatron and better Oline play (only bad game of the year).

Having long consistent drives and making stops on long drives, nobody can beat the Lions this year.

Honestly come back with some stats supporting your claims please.... The only QB to do OK against us besides Dalton was Romo and that all came on two plays really... And I always use to respect Mitch and his opinions..... Until now... The guys a little less knowledgeable about football than baseball it seems....

Who else did then? Cutler and Griffin had big yardage but other than that..what? Romo had shit yards but a couple TDs, Weeden almost threw for 300 but was picked off a couple times, Ponder didnt do shit, Palmer did nothing really, Rodgers was held in check except for one long TD. Dalton killed us....thats all. Rankings are skewed anyways.

Now dont take this as im backing up our pass defense because im not. Our secondary is brutal. Point is, not all QBs have killed us.

That is a stat lmao. We are 26 out of 32 in fucking pass defense...how else would you like me to state it? Ummmm...there's 6 teams worse than us in pass defense....is that better?
