Cabrera now has 203 H, 40 2B, 44 HR, 137 RBI. Numbers had been reached 3 times in history, twice by Gehrig and once by Ruth.

Get Startedi REALLY hope so. i also hope trout gets mauled by the rally monkey.
Miguel 213 pitchers faced
Yaz 123 pitchers face
Per Harold Reynolds on the MLB network.. The stats were as of a few days ago according to him..
Thank you I knew he said 120 something but didn't catch the exact number.
Amazing really when you think about it with today's day and age of facing these bullpen's type arms that most teams can throw out there.
I will be happy to see the type of year he has next year when pitchers will have a year of info on him. I usually never wish to see a player struggle but there is just to much hype on this kid who doesn't even have a full year of service in the big leagues. Has he had a great year? Yeah he has but for people to be saying he should be MVP over the 1st possible Triple Crown winner in 45 years when honestly in today's day and age it unheard of.
An interesting fact I heard on MLB earlier was comparing Carl Yastrzemski's Triple Crown in '67 to Miggy this year and the differences. Yastrzemski faced I believe it was said 120 something pitchers that year. Miggy after tonight's game has faced 213 different pitchers this season.
on the day that the Tigers clinched the pennant, Miggy goes 4-5 and leaves the building, along with a Triple Crown and I think the MVP is his easily.
On the same day Trout went 4-5 with a 2B, 3B, 2R and 3RBI off of King Felix. He is the first MLB player to ever have 4 hits and 2 extra base hits off of Felix.
and statistically speaking Felix had one of the worst outings of his career.
Does Cabby get a day off either of the next two days since he hasn't had a rest day in a while? And would a day off help or hurt his triple crown chances?
I don't think so. Maybe he leaves early during Wednesday's game but he likes to play and play a lot.
Probably had something to do with Trout scoring 2 runs and driving in 3.
A 20 year old having an OPS+ of at least 165 over a full season is far more rare than a TC winner.
Should we award the MVP based on the rarity of one's stats, or the value of their play?
Yeah but age shouldn't be a factor in anything.
