Call Out Some Players

Wow great. So did week 2 not exist in terms of their rushing total?

Right now, the Lions have one of, if not the worst rushing attack in the NFL. Period, end of discussion. Just own up to it and move on.

It's OKAY to admit that this team isn't as good as you thought. No one will be upset.

We'll finish 9-2 or 8-3

3-2 start and 8-3 finish (lose at Pack, at Stl and one other game)

so the Lions are going to win this weekend, @ Seattle and then at home vs AZ?

Waddle will fix it

Top 5 is not based on performance, it's a lifestyle thing. The Lions have it.

They have the talent to do so and two home games. Seattle hasn't looked that great.

So if they lose you'd fire the coaches. That's typically what you do as a FO/Owner when you have the talent to win ever game but don't.

Coaches get time. I tend not to panic after an 11-5 season and two road games

7-1 home and 4-4 road is still very much on the table

The good feelings from last season quickly vanished. They didn't lose to a couple of powers on the road. They lost to two teams that are .500 or slightly better. If you want to say you have arrived as an NFL franchise, those are games you win, or at the very least split.

Jason Jones - 29
Haloti Ngata - 31
Stephen Tulloch - 30
DeAndre Levy - 28
Rashean Mathis - 35
Glover Quin - 29
James Ihedigbo - 31

We are going to be expansion level bad on defense if we don't start hitting on our picks at like a 100% rate over the next 3 years.

Don't disagree that the Lions need to draft MUCH better, but to be fair, of those players only one came via draft (Levy), the others were either traded for or signed as a FA. When those guys all retire or get cut, there will be a decent amount of $$ left to sign replacements.

The only reason Mayhew still has a job IMO is because he has proven to be an above average GM when it comes to signing and trading players. He is bottom of the barrel in the draft...which is 10x as important.

Chargers and Vikings are good at home. We lost to Carolina and Stanton led Cards last year.

Team has to figure out a way to get a win.. Joe and Matt Need to get on the page as it will probably take 35+ points to win Sunday night. Alwaya hope I will watch and hope we can pull it off. Hopefully home crowd will jack them up.

Letting that SD game slip away was the turning point in our season. In week 1,lol. Crazy how quickly my view, and expectations for this team changed in a matter of 30 minutes of football. But it did. It went from, no Suh, no problem, to this defense is extremely soft, and this offensive coordinator is inept.

If they get stomped at home, or even lose... this season's done. And it will be time to consider a change at the top.

But sadly, this team is attached with Stafford at the hip and aren't willing to move away from him.

I'm going on vacation next week to Jamaica (land of Laken Tomlinson). That is probably a good thing if they lose. But when I see an 11-3 finish. I can also see an 11-2 or 10-3 finish.

This has zero to do with Stafford, facing the kind of pressure and taking the hits he's taken, he cannot succeed, and i don't blame him, at all. Maybe this week, we can actually block and see this balanced offense Lombardi speaks of. Maybe, the defense will show a backbone this week too, though it's extremely doubtful

Run D should be good that we don't face Peterson (good Week 1). Detroit forced 3 turnovers against SD and Peterson was force to fumble 3 times (one was crap offiside and another he luckily recovered).

Lions need to force turnovers

Did all of you guys watch the game last week, be truthful? How could Stafford have played well last week? He was on his back more than he was upright. He was honestly the only player I respected after the loss. I'm back on the Stafford train, if we get this oline functioning properly, he will impress. I have more faith in this kid, than anybody else on this offense. Block for him and he will play lights out.

Stafford is 80% and 100 QB rating with time this year.

10/32 under pressure. I don't know if pocket presence could fix that. And really he could be pressured and also nobody could be open on that particular play too.

Every QB gets pressured. But it really helps when the pressure % is about 10-15% lower than what Stafford gets. Plus it would be nice to be able to run the ball.

Everything doesn't need to be perfect for Stafford. But something has to go right between pressure and run game and weapons getting open.

And when he has had time in the past, what has he shown? Two years ago when they had the best O-line in football, he still put up mediocre performances.

Yeah he's a tough kid, but other than throwing for yards, he's statistically very average, can't beat ANYONE worth a lick on the road, and hasn't won anything. He is who he is. A solid, above average QB. Other than a season, hasn't shown he can be consistently great or put others on his shoulders. You know when people talk about how tough he is, and how much talent he has, that's basically admission that he just isn't all that great.
