Call Out Some Players

Oline can lower % by 10%. That will do wonders.

Run game can help big time too.

More open guys helps.

Stafford is doing his job well.

What is the league average for pressure..what is stafford facing?

Rodgers had run support (Lacy and Starks) and open weapons. Of course he could do well under pressure. Seattle D is lost on the road without Chancellor. Bears D is terrible.

35 under pressure for Stafford. 26 under pressure for Rodgers. 9 throws makes a big difference in two games

So those 9 throws are the difference between:

43/56 (76.8%) 5TD 0 INT 128.4 rating

and

51/83 (61.4%) 4TD 3 INT 81.0 rating

19 blitzes out of 89 dropbacks isn't blitz the hell out of someone

Flowers and Verett did a great job Week 1. Vikings did a solid job and knew the Lions couldn't run.

Also Rodgers know the pressure comes from the edge. His interior is sturdy. Rodgers knows where to slide in the pocket because of that. Stafford the pressure comes from everywhere.

Rodgers was only hurried 7 times against the Bears. No hits or sacks. All the pressure came by DEs in Week 2.

So Stafford is under pressure 35 times out of 88 drop backs (39%)
Rodgers is under pressure 26 times out of 70 drop backs (37%)

So 1 more time out of 50 throws. Creates a 47 point QB rating swing?

Run game, open weapons when under pressure. But yeah it was one thing (rolls eyes)

And the pressure was from two spots. Rodgers knew where to move. Stafford was pressured in all spots

Communication was probably better for Rodgers too. Home game against Seattle

If we are talking about communication in year 7 with this guy, then holy f'ing shiznit. You are really reaching down into your bag of excuses for that one.

Not just for Stafford. new young Oline. Lucas, Swanson and Laken Week 1. Lucas, Swanson Week 2. On the road.

Ford Field will be very helpful
7-1 or 8-0 is happening there

Reiff and Warford play better. Waddle over Lucas. Man Ram still pass pro well.

Protection better be coming. Or a run game somewhat

You were the one talking about how big of a difference 9 plays is. Failing to mention the % for each QB is nearly identical.

James Jones. Good lord, not like that guy was just lying on the scrap heap for anyone to take. Oh wait. So is this on Mayhew to miss that good of a WR that was there for the taking? Or maybe AR just makes WRs good.

Starks, there is a stud, one good run in 22 attempts, otherwise a 2.9 YPC RB.

You can't compare the two, Rodgers is an elite QB, Staff is struggling to stay average.

9 passes in 2 games can drastically change Stafford's stats. Not having to throw under pressure 9 more times is huge over 2 games. This was due to GB having a run game too.

Like I said, it's not one thing that has caused once again Stafford to appear worse than he actually is. He's good, it appears bad because it's a team sport and there are injuries and tough road games.

Many more games to come. Bring on the home games and easier road games.

I've never excused Stafford for poor play, this season he has every reason to not be playing great. Way too much wrong here to play at a high level

Andrew Luck is dealing with much of the same that Stafford is and playing much worse

Main thing that is going against him is the thing between his ears.

Luck is aware:

"One hundred percent," Luck said Wednesday, via the Indy Star. "I have to improve. There are no excuses."

"The fumble, the interceptions, I have direct control on what happens with the ball," he said. "As a quarterback, you do; it's in your hands. I haven't made the best decisions and missed some throws. Shoot, you work on it. You go out in practice and you work on it and see how you can do in the game."

No that is completely false. Stafford is an incredibly cerebral QB. Very intellingent guy. He locates the blitzes and coverage just fine. He's got a great arm. His weapons, RBs and Oline doesn't always execute the way they should based on their talent.

Plus many injuries and the weapon backups don't step up.

Luck's ints could be his fault and he has five not 3 like Stafford.. 2 of 3 are not Stafford's fault either. And the DE drops that ball 9 times out of 10.

The int against Minnesota and the 3rd down miss in the redzone to Tate. That does not negate plenty of good plays by Stafford.
