Calvin Has Officially Retired

Calvin played, and for good money too. Calvin informed a small handful of teammates that he was going to go after that season, but not the majority. He didn't inform the team. He didn't inform his coaches. He didn't give the team any kind of heads up before the draft that he may be leaving them short handed.

He did what he had to do for him.

Lions did what they had to do for the team.

Calvin didn't hook the Lions up in any way when he retired, and the Lions didn't hook him up in any way. He treated it like business and so did they.

I have no problem with what either side did, but I can't say I can see any reason for him to whine about it now.

CJ gave head's up well before the draft as I recall. He informed the team right after the season ended as Quinn was coming in the door, and BQ asked him to reconsider and give them an answer before free agency. CJ remained in retirement mode so BQ signed Marvin Jones.

Heads up?? Are you kidding me?? It was a shock to everyone...

calvin is jealous they made the playoffs without him and don't miss him

He said he was considering it well be the draft.. Just waited until it was official. But we all knew, we talked about ad nauseam.

Ya, I'm considering buying a fucking mansion next week too. And talking about it means jack shit. He did not give the Lions proper time to prepare.....

Quinn just came on board. Quinn owed him nothing. All he did for Quinn was saying he was a big wuss and was quiting

If it was such a shock, how come Marvin Jones was signed very early in free agency? They knew CJ was hanging it up and by doing so they would have the cap space to sign Jones.

Yes, Calvin is very jealous that the team went into Seattle and got bent over a table.

He already had enough of that fun in New Orleans.

Based on what? Were you in the room with CJ and Quinn. We all knew he wasn't coming back.. If you didn't then I'm sorry to say you're not so good with the obvious.
